My sister, bicyclerepairman, has been swapping for a while and seems to really enjoy it, so I thought I would give it a try! I'm a stay at home mom, but I am also a professional bellydancer and instructor, a cub scout den leader, and teach a Bible study to homeschoolers. I have one son and a mean and nasty cat. I have a Masters Degree in Engineering and it is my goal to never use it again as I really enjoy my free time! I volunteer at my son's school and in a few other organizations. I am a sugar addict and love candy!
I like most music, but I listen to mostly Christian, Middle Eastern, 80's, and whatever my nephew put on my ipod. I don't like hard core rap or heavy metal.
As far as crafts, I have dabbled in many things, most recently in quilting and PMC. I make dance costumes and enjoy sewing, beading and embroidery. I didn't know what "ephemera" was until bicyclerepairman told me. I like paper crafting but find it hard to find time for it. I can crochet, but not knit.
I think if everyone took time to do a little something to help someone else everyday, the world would be a better place.
I like blue tones, greens and purples. I like pink. I'm not really an earth-tone person. Not into yellow or orange, but sometimes I'm surprised by what I like.
Harry Potter, Shakespeare in Love, Ever After (although Drew Barrymore really over does it in this movie), Sky High (the fire guy looks like one of my nephews), pretty much anything that isn't on Nickelodean and isn't Star Wars. I don't like super violent movies, movies with bad language, or really icky themes.
Puzzle books!!! I love to read, but don't take the time. My reading is usually for Bible studies or devotionals. I like Apologetics, biographies, math or chemistry books. Sometimes I will read a mystery or suspense book. I like craft books. I have read all the Harry Potter books too many times.
Fabric, stamps, books, mix cds, beads, candy, yarn, craft supplies of any type. Bellydance stuff, stationary (or is it stationery?), pens, stickers, sewing notions, trims, sounds like most stuff!!!
If you have any cool cancelled stamps, I would take them and give them to my sister, bicyclerepairman.
Non candy food, anything that is anti-Christian, perfume,
