I'm a part time work at home mom, who is also home schooling my 5 year old. Where we live used to be considered the country, but it seems to be getting a bit more crowded. New McMansions and people moving up from the city. But, I still have my horses, my dogs (Schipperkes and German Shepherds) and my chickens (we'll never eat store bought eggs again!). My son was born exactly one month and one day after my 40th birthday. A miracle and dream come true. Motherhood in your 40s is interesting.. I think I'm much more laid back then if I had him 20 years ago. My husband is my hero! He gets up and goes to work almost everyday so that I could stay home and raise our son. We have sacraficed, but it is so worth it.
I love my family, my horses, my dogs and my gardens. I especially love the visitors to my gardens, the birds and dragon flies at the pond, the butterflies and hummingbirds at the flowers. I even built a 10 foot koi pond last year. Biggest darn hole I ever dug!
When not outside or spending time with the family I'm playing around in my sewing room. I love to quilt and recently started making ATC's.
My taste in music varies. I can listen to and enjoy almost anything. Country, jazz, classical, southern rock (I love ZZ Top). I do not like Rap!
I read almost everything. I'm always looking for ways to enrich my sons schooling. It's hard to find the time to actually finish a whole book for myself. I love my Quilting Arts magazine.
We don't have much time for TV, but when I do it's usually Next Food Network Star, Top Chef and Amazing Race. I love Cash Cab on Discovery Channel.
My favorite movie growing up was Fantasia. I still love it. I also like some oldies like Bringing Up Baby. The American President is another favorite, also Sleepless in Seatle and Love Affair. I think the new Madagascar movie (2) was very funny. It's strange how your taste in movies changes when you have a 5 year old. No more of those R rated movies in our house.
I like things that make me wonder. I like things that make me say "Wow!". I like to see new artistic creations that peek my creative curiosity and make me want to learn how they are made. I love unicorns and have several of them tatooed on my body, along with a butterfly. I like things that I can use to make more ATC's. Cool beads, buttons, things I can glue. I like things mystical and magical.
I so much want to learn new techniques for creating ATC's. I am always willing to share my creative secrets and hope others feel the same way. Remember what Mom always said..."it's nice to share"
I don't like vulgar, profanity, cursing or extremely religious. Sorry, but I am not religious in the way most people are. I believe in holistic health, mother nature and that all living things have a spirit. I also believe my dogs will be waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge.

Wow again! I too was your angel for a swap and you didn't have to send anything back, but thanks! The ATC you send was fabulous, you are very talented! Glad you got your swap after all, hopefully you won't get flaked on again! You are so welcome, it was my pleasure =D
