I had a break from Swap-Bot due to sciatica, baby number 2 and redundancy and now I am back and rearing to go!
I live near London, and am almost entering the last year of my 30's....!
My brother recently died, so I took up scrapbooking to make a book for my nephew to remember his dad by.
Sewing, scrapbooking, project life, planner decor and baking.
Chocolate- milk or dark but not flavoured unless it is from Hotel Chocolat! No fruit fillings, or coffee or liquor flavoured chocolate please.
Red is my favourite colour! But I love any combo of gold, teal, deep red, deep purple, white, black
I love fabric designs like Tilda, Robert Kaufman, new Amy Butler stuff, Alexander Henry, Moda and Michael Miller, Marimekko and Hauhauz. Love all scrapbooking brands especially Amy Tangerine, Heidi Swapp, Becky Higgins. I love colour palettes, especially bright colours or muted tones.
-stickers, washi tape, twine, die cuts.
Cooking especially with spices. Baking- I love baking with my sons and making a mess
love the scents of cinnamon and ginger and lemongrass as well as apple pie!
The sea, snorkelling and kayaking. I'm no expert- I've just had many fabulous holidays.
Any weather- sun, rain, snow. But my favourite season is autumn and my favourite holiday is Christmas!
Cocoa butter- yummy! Body oils of all scents.
Ikea, the White Company, Monsoon, Lombok.
I would love to receive anything that has a Babushka doll on it. I saw someone with a Babushka bag recently and I fell in love with it.
Handmade stuff. I am an absolute beginner so I am all to aware that everyone starts somewhere! I have made things for friends and have had mixed responses so will now stick to swapping and making things for friends who I know will like it.
Oh and just so my sons and husband don't feel left out, Husband likes Turkish Delight, beer, holidays and the summer (though I think 'holidays' and 'the summer' would be hard swaps to do!) My boys like football/soccer, sweets, lego, cars and stickers!
Animal prints, synthetic yarns, pastel colours, floral smells. Neon colours. Civil war fabrics, patriotic stuff, tie dye, batik, old fashion floral patterns, skulls.
Don't like anything goth-like, or vampish.
Faeries, wizards, etc
Ornaments, religious or otherwise (we're trying to create a clutter free house so even getting rid of stuff we've picked up on our travels...sob!)
Coffee and tea.
Sweets (though my OH loves them so they wouldn't be wasted!),Licorice
Bugs, animals (sorry- as cute as they are, they aren't for me! I do like owls though, and red butterflies and ladybirds and woodland animals)
I have psoriasis so I have to be really choosy about cosmetics and yarn.
-Love love LOVE the Foo Fighters, and a new British band called Royal Blood.
I also like Jim Reeves; partly because my Dad liked him but also because he just has such a smooth voice.
Then there's big band music, a little bit of R 'n' B and swing, pop, etc. Oh- I really like the Killers, Snow Patrol and Keane. And some of Kings of Leons stuff.
I think I am the only person in the world who doesn't like Beyonce!
-Walking Dead. Love it more than Chocolate
The Good Wife
Friends- I can watch this all day forever!
I love reading but finding the right book is so hard! I have read all of Jodi Piccoults books. Marian Keyes, the Kite Runner, Wild Swans, Amy Tan's books.
I read a book by Anita Shreive- Testamony- that I really liked, then borrowed Sea Glass, thinking it would be as good. It wasn't.
I pick up a lot of books but never get that 'into' it.
Sound of Music, hands down, is my favourite!
I love a good action movie- all the Die Hards for example. But I can't stand the silly ones like Fast and Furious, Snakes on a Plane, etc.
Stardust
What Lies Beneath
Young Guns
When a Man Loves a Woman
Sleepless in Seattle
You've Got Mail
The Untouchables
Lost Boys

Hi, I see you found some swaps. Start slow with just 5 or so at a time. It is really easy to get in over your head. Check the end date on each swap and make sure you have plenty of time and money to do each swap. Do not forget that postage can get expensive. Best of luck to you.
Hi! Well, it looks like you did find some to join... you'll see, the "newbie" thing goes by pretty quickly. :)
