I'm a 5th year college student who has too many academic interests: Russian, Medieval literature, history, linguistics, ecology. I've finally settled on majoring in ecology, and I'm determined not to change my mind again... at least, not until after I get my degree. I love animals (I have a special spot in my heart for almost all sea animals, especially octopuses) and I love being outside. But, I'm also a music and movie addict, and end up staying in a lot to enjoy those.

Hanne Hukkelberg, Yann Tiersen, Bierut, Radiohead, Sleater-Kinney, Animal Collective, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, múm, Lucky Dragons, Paavoharju, etc...

I don't really spend a lot of time doing crafts, but I do like doing collage works. I also have a mild obsession with baskets, and when I have more time, I want to learn how to make them. The closest I've gotten is making gourd containers (which is a lot of fun).

Right now, almost any movie that's a silent or pre-code talkie. Absolutely amazing silents: The Adventures of Prince Achmed, Faces of Children, Pandora's Box, The Goddess, Mr. Wu, Exit Smiling... there are a ton. Also, Harold Lloyd is awesome.
