hi - i'm a 43 year old mom of two boys. I'm married to my 7th grade first kiss! I recently started dabbling in the mixed media arts and am hooked! I spend every spare minute trying new things and spend all of my spare money on supplies.

I earn spare money by working in a men's prison as a counselor, so it's nice to have a creative and fun outlet as it can be stressful at work.

I'm looking for online friends to trade scrap supplies with......You know, I buy an entire pack of paper and use 3 pages....what do I do with the rest? I buy all these flowers, embellishments....I need to trade stuff!

My favorite art supply is Lindy's Stampgang.- If you haven't tried them, you really really should. Somehow I ran across one of their videos and that is how I got started in this mixed media adventure.

Art journaling, altering anything, collages, mixed media. I love Dina Wakley, Dyan Reavely, Limor Weber, Christy Tomlinson, and Pam Carriker.....they are mentors from YouTube.

I love vintage ephemera, especially from other countries.

I have had more fun on this site the past couple of weeks! I really enjoy the international swaps, sending and receiving from other countries. ....okay.....editing to add: other than a few cool ATC's....this place is a big fat letdown. I wasted soooo much money and time. Bye...end edit

If you are from outside the US and have me as a swap partner, I would love it if you could send me an ad from any magazine as I collect ephemera and having ephemera from your country would make me really happy! Anything with advertising would be cool.

Also, if you aren't happy with what I have sent please let me know so I can make it right.

As soon as I receive your item, I will go to the computer and give you thanks and a rating in return.

Also, I know I'm not the greatest artist, but I put time, energy, and money into my swaps please don't send me something you wouldnt want yourself.

Lastly, I use the ATC's and envelopes you send me to make an art journal page. I will forever remember that you took the time to send me your gift!

I know this will sound bitchy- but I don't understand why some people send sticker-slappish ATC's. The reason I do this is to show my ART to others. ARTIST Trading Cards is what they are called.

Gluing and taping in a five minute manner is not art. Please don't do this to me, I wouldn't do that to you. Even if you can't draw or paint, there are many techniques to use that allow you to create beautiful pieces.
