I'm an English girl, born in London, currently studying at the University of Edinburgh. I've always loved sending letters and packages, and getting things in return, of course. I love history of all kinds, reading and making many different books and zines and listening to loud music. I like cooking and baking, but I don't think I'm very good at it yet!
I like to read anything! Especially trashy fantasy and romance novels, gossipy biographies of historical figures and fairy tales and mythology. I really like horror stories with ghosts and ghoulies, but serial killers and physically gruesome horrors don't interest me much. Historical novels are lovely, especially ones set in the ancient Mediterranean or Byzantium.
I love stories that include the following tropes: comedy, storytellers, thieves with honour, assassins, two people against the world, royal courts, political intrigue, complex morality, estranged family members reluctantly reconciling, running away to new climes and the adventures that follow.
I also like to read non-fiction about any topic, and I always want to learn new things. Science, philosophy, travel adventures, psychology...
I'm not watching much television currently, but I love comedies and political quiz shows. I like to laugh. I have a love-hate relationship with the new Doctor Who. I'm watching a few Korean dramas at the moment too, which are very good, even though I'm incredibly slow at getting through them.
