About Me

I am no longer in any current swaps, but I am waiting for some of my re-sends to arrive to my past swap-partners. Please let me know if you get the packages! Thanks.

I live in the mountainous region of Grande Cache, Alberta, Canada... a little town that is 1 1/2 hours away from the next piece of civilization. I love reading, relaxing, going on little walks, and lead a pretty quiet life. To keep myself occupied when it is bitterly cold, I try to find crafty things to do and will attempt anything from making jewelry, to painting, to crocheting. I'm not an expert, but I love to try to make pretty things. When the wind isn't blowing so harshly, I try to get a chance to go skiing and sledding. When it is summer, I sit in our leaky boat and try to fish, collect rocks by the lake (my new collection is heart-shaped rocks), go berry picking and enjoy the sunshine.

Favorite Music

I like different music... jazz, big band swing, techno, house, drum and bass, piano classical, 50s 60s and 70s, and anything that makes me happy and dancing.

Favorite Crafts

Papercrafts, sewing, jewelery, beads, cross stitch, painting, drawing, pastels, clay...

Things I Like...

Buttons, rocks, goldfish or koi fish, any kind of tea, bright, cheerful colours, lace and ribbons, coloured glass bits, the smell of coconut, anything with trees, falling leaves, cherry blossoms, funky necklaces, semi-precious stones, Japanese things are always cute, handmade things are great, retro stuff from the 50's, momiji dolls, cool socks, Astroboy and Naruto things...

I'm pretty easy going and like just about anything... so, surprise me!

Favorite Books

I am guilty of the romance-mysteries of JD Robb and quick-read romances. I have recently discovered the No. 1 Detective Agency novels. I enjoy most books and will pick up anything that looks interesting at the library. I love children's books from when I grew up (Little Woman, Little House on the Prairie, Heidi, the Secret Garden, Beatrix Potter, Curious George, Robert Munsch...) fairy tales, and, of course, Harry Potter.

Favorite Television

House M.D., Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and Naruto
