Hi there! I am an artist living outside of Baltimore MD. I mainly work in mixed media... I do a lot of collages and assemblages as well as fabric/quilted pieces and some silversmithing. Check out my Flickr URL (I'm stephdyke) to see some of my work! :o)

RE: Crafty swaps.... I pretty much love anything that I can use to make stuff with. I'm not really a knitter (not that I don't like it - I'm just horrible @ it!) but I do crochet some (recently learned how to crochet w/ beads). I love paper and fabrics and beads and really anything unqiue.

Stuff I love: squirrels, pink + orange, turquoise + brown, milk chocolate, anything blueberry flavored, lavender (the smell, not the color), sandalwood, polka dots and stripes, stationary/postcards/paper of any kind, beads/trinkets/charms, ATCs/collage/assemblage, handmade stuff, fabric, ribbons, buttons, vintage sewing stuff, Japanese craft & patchwork books, circus/carnival/sideshow themes, puppets, downtempo, 80's music, Scrabble, Boggle, weird/odd/random things, creepy dolls and sad ugly toys, candies and treats from other countries (or "regional" stuff in the US).

Stuff I'm not fond of: mint, dark chocolate, vanilla (scents and flavorings), nuts (I'm allergic), strong floral scents, cartoon characters in general (other than Krtek and Deery Lou) - don't really dig Disney/Hello Kitty/etc., bath & beauty stuff (too many allergies!), candles (except in my favorite scents).

I'm a horrible knitter... altho you can't fault me for trying! :o) Better at crocheting - recently learned crocheting w/ beads. I love fibers and yarn and try to incorporate them with fabrics.

I've dabbled in glass fusing and lampworking too. I guess pottery is really the only thing that I've never done and don't have much interest in.
