Hi!
Actually… we are two! We are sisters: Eliana (the account owner, 21 years old, Medicine student) and Natalia (26, Industrial Designer).
We are from Uruguay, that little heart-shaped country between Argentina and Brazil. Our mother tongue is Spanish, so we apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes that we might make.
We are very united, and with our little brother Miguel, who is 19, a Psychology student, we do almost everything together. We are very close friends. We like to share our stuff, and share projects, that’s why we participated in this together. The joint effort will be reflected in better results, we hope!
We have very similar tastes, in almost everything, that’s why it’s easy for us to have one profile for the both of us!
We like anything and everything that is good, from Björk to Bob Dylan, from Radiohead to the Rolling Stones… We like the Beatles (the White album is our number one soundtrack when we are making any craft project), Regina Spektor, Coldplay, Belle and Sebastian, The Cranberries, Patti Smith, Beck, Alanis Morissette, Iggy Pop, The Cure, Joni Mitchell…
Nirvana, U2, R.E.M, Tori Amos, Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright… all the Wainwrights… Jethro Tull, Amy Winehouse, Imogen Heap, Lisa Loeb, Nico, Lou Reed, The Doors, Melissa Etheridge…
…and a never-ending list.
We like anything from these authors: GarcÃÂa Márquez, Günther Grass, Fernando Savater, Sylvia Plath, etc. etc. etc. Another never-ending list.
Some titles we liked: “Alice’s adventures in Wonderland", “A clockwork orange", “The Diary of Anne Frank", “The lord of the flies", “Dr. Moreau’s Island", “Of mice and men", “The steppenwolf"… etc., etc., etc.
We love movies… we’ve seen a zillion movies! Everything from silly commercial teenager films (we love those, actually!) to art cinema. We love “Legally blonde" as well as “Amarcord"… ha ha ha.
Our collection includes: “Tommy", “Marie Antoinette", “The Exorcist", “Children of men", “Mrs. Doubtfire", “Fried green tomatoes", “Misery", “Bring it on!" (Yes, the one about the cheerleaders, and we never get tired of it!), “Stepmom"… We like John Water’s films, Woody Allen's, Tim Burton's… and anything with Robert De Niro, Whoopy Goldberg, Johnny Depp.
We like “E.R", “Friends", “Gilmore Girls", “Project Runway", “America’s Next Top Model", “Brazil’s Next Top Model", “Gossip Girl", “Desperate Housewives", “That 70’s show", stupid trash TV like anything on the E! channel, specially the countdowns of “The 100 most… 50 most…", “The X-Files", “Everybody loves Raymond", “Grounded for life", “Whose line is it anyway?", “The Drew Carrey Show", “The Simpsons", “How I met your mother", “Buffy"… and so on.
But, believe it or not… we do not watch much TV!
We love crafting! And we are very good at it… in our modest opinion! We like to make origami flowers, kusudama, and anything with paper! We designed a collection of necklaces and jewelry in a variety of materials, and we are about to start selling them. We loved Art Attack when we were younger… we still love it, we confess! and watching the show, we mastered the art of papier maché.
We like drawing and painting. We like decoupage, collage, scrapbooking, modeling with different kinds of clay, beading, etc.
We don't know how to sew or knit. We don't use fabric in our crafts, or thread, wool, etc.
Here’s a list of a variety of things we like, that might give you an idea of what we are like. We like: -Stationery and paper goods. -Japanese papers. -Origami. -Colorful things and rainbow stuff. -Pink things. -Make up. -The 80’s. -Cute accessories. -Hello Kitty. -Cartoons. -Kitsch stuff. -Funny stuff. -Candy. -Post-its. -Barbie. -Butterflies. -Kawaii (Specially Monokuro Boo). -Small stuff. -Stickers. -Fairies. -Miniatures such as ReMent toys. -Magnets. -Wallets and small purses.
-Disney. -Patriotic or religious items. -Nothing eatable (not even candy) because it will be taken at the Customs. -Bags of tea. -Seeds. -Decorative or not useful handmade items (good taste jewellery and accesories are fine) -Nothing to be used in a bathtub, because we don't have one. -Nothing for pets, because we don't have one of those either. -Items for sewing or knitting or any crafts that requires sewing or working with fabrics and wool and threads... we don't know how to, and we're not interested.
Unless you really want us to have one each, for any particular reason, there is no need for you to double every item you send us, just because we're two. If you did that, it would result in a package that has half the items you would send to a single receiver but multiplied by two. We prefer that there's more variety, and we don't care to share. Actually, since we live together, and share a room and evertyhing we have, we're more than used to sharing and we like it. So, we rather you send us a package just like the one you would send to one person, with the exceptions you may or not want to make, and we'll decide how to share the stuff in it.
-It will take about 20 days to get to you if you live in the USA.
-We can't wrap the things in the package with gift paper, because they would be opened at the Customs. That is why we put everything into transparent plastic bags.
-We'll always tag (with descriptions) and number everything and take a photo of the whole thing before sending, so that in case anything gets stolen or lost in the way, you and we can know what it was.
