my husband and i are what some call young empty nesters. we live in a 4 bedroom old brick home in the city of saint louis, mo. .. since my kids no longer live with us i ended up with 2 very unorganized, jammed packed craft rooms (i keep meaning to do something about that!)

i have been sewing and crafting since i was 9 years old. i have this dream (or crazy idea) that one day i'll start a business and actually sell some of my creations. however i am at a point in my life where i'm either going to put up or shut up......we'll see how that works for me.

so some of my goals include doing something creative everyday, doing an actionable task that puts me closer to starting my business and at least once a week gather and organize some area of my vast craft supplies...so i don't spend all of my creative time looking for stuff.

i generally like all crafts . there was a time when sewing was my thing however currently i'm into paper crafting......i'm also starting to really like recycled art....this is a new area for me so i'm experimenting.

my favorite colors are purple,red, pink,blue...in 2009 my chosen color was purple.....i purchased all things purple.......i haven't chosen a color so far this year.

some of my favorite things are hearts, butterflies and flowers...typical girlie stuff...i have a small pen fetish....i love collecting them......i also have an extensive collection of coins and $2.00 dollar bills....all friends and family save and send them to me. some of my other collections include depression glass, vintage buttons, stamps, post cards and wedge wood plates, cups....saucers. some other things i collect are mickey mouse stuff and hello kitty stuff.

my wish list stuff are big items such as new laptop, wireless printer, htc evo 4g phone, new camera etc......i started not to include it but who knows maybe my husband will read my profile and get the hint.......

UPDATE: i have acquired a new camera and my htc evo 4g phone.....still working on the new lap top....christmas is near.....

i recently stumbled onto a blog featuring an unknown street photographer named vivian maier....i was blown away by her photographs and the fact that no one had ever seen her work......i have a real appreciation for all types of art....so i enjoy observing how others express themselves creatively.

my favorite music is contemporary christian, jazz and certain artist like alicia keyes and mary j. blige

my favorite television shows are : antique road show......american pickers and pawn stars......the big bang theory.......i also like to watch burn notice.

some things i'm not a fan of are ........animal things up to and including stickers,animal note cards etc......crocheted or knitted items (ouch)......kinda hate to put that in cause that's how some people create....so if that's your form of art....please don't be offended if i re-gift your item........no Halloween items...............for goodies and extras.................please do not send candy/food......jewelry.....cosmetics/body care items
