April, 2016. A very good friend from this site reached out to me and encouraged me to make good on my swaps and see if I can repair some of the damage from my past well enough to join in again. So as of right now, I am a work in progress who is taking it very slow in an attempt to fix what I can.
Thank you.
I listen to just about everything, country and alternative rock are my favorites. I listen to audio books on most longer drives, and own way too many kids cds for my sanity.
I read almost everything. I tend to pick an author, try and find all of there books and read them all. Luckily in my area there are enough thrift stores and used book stores that this can remain an inexpensive hobby. But I think if I bring any more books into the house my boyfriend will make me move out... lol
I like all movies with a happy ending. What's the point of escaping in a movie to end it while you're sad? That's not saying I don't watch sad movies, but they aren't my everyday choice. My current go to movie is The Holiday, and the original Sabrina.
Yes, I have ones. Yes, i made mistakes years ago. Yes, I have tried to contact those that I owe, but most of them are deleted, suspended, or inactive for an extremely long time.

I always have LOTS of projects going at the same time, I'm a person that must be doing something at all times, which is why I listen to audio books in the car, why just drive when you can read at the same time? I started with plastic canvas, and scrapbooking taught to me by my grandmother, and my mother. Knitting and crocheting are not my talents, I don't know what it is about those two crafts but I just can't get the hang of them. Anything paper related is the current hit in my house, we have started inchies, scrapbooking of course, and making books. My daughter and I spend hours in thrift stores looking for things to redo, and reuse. Its fun and it brings us all together.
Constantly on the look out for:
Anything with patterns; dots, stripes, anything really the more unique the better
Pens, gel pens, marker pens, permanent pens, you name it.
We even have a collection going of those pens from doctors offices and other places that you accidently take home... at least sometimes its an accident.
Tiny words cut out from books, magazines, pretty much anything. My daughter and I recently discovered "Inchies" and I had NO idea how small an inch was until now.
St Patrick's Day is my Birthday so anything green, or irish themed is always welcome.
Stickers, any and all types. My kids like the colorful ones, and I like the unusual ones.
My older kids are going through there watercolor phase, so I am always on the lookout for new brushes, paper, and other formats and mediums they can use.
Origami has become popular in our craft room (formally the dining room but no one eats in there anymore) so new papers, and patterns are always looked for.
Colored pencils, for me. I have a set that I say is mine but everytime I go to use one... there's another color missing and the kids collection seems to be growing... hmmm
String, yarn, and anything like it. We have many uses and many ways to have fun with it.
Beads, pony beads mostly, the kids aren't quite there with the tiny ones, I think I vacuum up more of those then they use on the projects them selves.
I'm getting into beading with the tiny seed beads. I love them, but I still think I vaccum more then I use :).
I am a newly single mom to 3 amazing kids. 13, 12, and 9 :) they are my joy. And my life.
My favorite colors are pink, purple and orange. I have been branching out into the fall colors more and more lately, my friends blame it on my ever changing hair, but I like to think of it as creative maturity.
I love to work with yarn, and paper. I work with other mediums but these are my comfort zones and where I return to when I need inspiration, or just to relax.
I read constantly, and am always trying to picture how to turn the scene I am reading into a layout, spread of inchies, or just a series of postcards.
I do not define myself as an artist, there is little I won't try, but even less I can excel at. But I am who I am, and I happen to like it. I am a perfectionist though so sometimes I take my failures a little harder then most.
I have finally found the right guy, and luckily for me he loves me too! Enough that he no longer sighs or gets frustrated after I go to the used book stores and thrift stores in one day, he just calmly asks me where I would like him to put my "crap". As he fondly puts it.
I am not allergic to any foods, but I really can not stand cinnamon in anything. Food, drinks, or gum.
I am open to try anything once when it comes to tea, I love trying other countries, and weird flavors. I am easy to please as long as its not cinnamon flavored.
Thanks!
