"It's a lovely summer's day and I can almost see a skyline through a thickening shroud of egos. Is this the city of angels or demons? Here the names are what remain: stars encapsulate the gold lame and they need constant cleaning for when the tourists begin salivating. " Why You'd Want to Live Here - Death Cab For Cutie
I live in Los Angeles. I'm 18. I came here when I was 14 to be the next Lindsay Lohan. I've got the hair and the freckles. And these days, I'm pretty glad that didn't quite pan out.
Now I can't wait to leave. As much as I loved acting, it's time for me to figure out what else I love. When you do one thing for so many years, it's hard not to get tired of it.
By this time next year, I will be a freshman in college. Maybe I'll go back to the east coast where I grew up, or maybe I'll be in the south. I'm not sure, but I know I'll love it.
I'm an only child, with a cat and two crazy parents. Even without any siblings, our house is NEVER quiet and we're always off on some wacky family adventure.
I love flea markets, farmer's markets, thrift shops, and street fairs. I always find something I can't live without.
Pink and orange are two of my favorite colors. I have more clothes than I know what to do with. Recently I've fallen in love with candles and the B&BW body splashes. I figure you can never have enough variety in things that smell good! Some days I really do love living in southern California. I'm one of those rare people that likes black licorice. I don't like seafood or fireworks. I love New Orleans. Recently I've become addicted to the gym and running. I miss my weekly visits to New York City. Finding new favorite bands totally makes my day. I've never been good at talking about myself.
Favorite music: 311, Dave Matthews Band, Zero 7, Incubus and Mute Math are at the top of my list right now. I'm a closet Hilary Duff fan. Also, John Mayer, Death Cab For Cutie, The June Spirit, All Time Low, Timbaland, Maroon 5, Snow Patrol, The Balcony Scene, Gym Class Heroes, Aesop Rock, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Circa Survive, Immortal Technique, Yo La Tengo, 8mm, The Arcade Fire, Atmosphere, Mika, Brand New, Play Radio Play!, The Spill Canvas, Jump Little Children, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime...obviously I'm very well acquainted with my iTunes.
Favorite Books: When I was younger I had an entire wall of bookcases in my bedroom. I was always ALWAYS reading books. When we packed up our house and moved across the country, I didn't really take any of those books with me. For whatever reason, I had stopped caring about books, and I had forgotten what it was like to lose myself in a good story. Slowly I've started my collection of books again, and I've been reading everything I can get my hands on. I've been reading everything from bestsellers to chick lit to the classics they should make us read in school.
Favorite movies: My dad and I watch a lot of old movies. I'm such a big fan of Cary Grant, Spencer Tracy, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly...all of the real stars from 'way back when'. So excluding all the old movies I love (Father Goose, Cinderfella, Charade, Rear Window, Singin' in the Rain, Funny Face, etc.) here's a little list: Crazy/Beautiful, Elizabethtown, Little Miss Sunshine, Office Space, Zoolander, Almost Famous, Donnie Darko...I love comedies and independent movies.
Favorite TV shows: I've got a confession to make. I am a HUGE Battlestar Galactica fan. This seems to really throw people off, but I just love the show. Also, Scrubs, Seinfels, Psych, The Simpsons, CSI, Grey's Anatomy and Good Eats are favorites.
