I am a mother of three young girls and a baby boy. I live in northeast Tennessee. I work part time as a rural mail carrier.
I am interested in words, thoughts, letterboxing, rubber stamp carving, hiking, photography, music, thrift shops, sewing, gardening, world religion, and stories of everyday life.
I love to read biographies and that would include yours. Would you like to exchange letters about our lives and countries? Or, we could just trade poetry, art, or other goodies. It's up to you. I enjoy creating happy mail as much as I love getting it.
Tori Amos, Tom Waits, Scott Miller and the Commonwealth, anybody singing a sad and pining song. I guess I'm a folk music kinda girl, and who doesn't love a great story? I love making compilation cd's (www.artofthemix.org)
Quilting, sewing, collage, rubber stamp making.
My favorite craft items to find are cotton prints (that includes old clothes in need of rejuvenation), vintage scarves and hankies, elastic, rick rack, buttons, old neckties, PILLOWCASES!!!, and vintage baby clothes with embroidery. I love to make something lovable again!
I also love old paper items, from magazines to wallpaper and everything in between. I use it to make collage, or I just collect it: especially postcards or anything with cats on it.
Children's books new and old.
Biographies.
World religion.
My children collect these things, all of which I would be interested in swapping:
bottle caps rocks beads postcards

Hello QP, Wow what a surprize when I read this profile. I knew for sure it was you reading through it and the icon you choose. Seems like we bump in to each other everywhere. Hope you and the family are doing well and wishing you a wonderful 2011 year.
Thanks for joining The Sound Alliance! Be sure to check out our group swaps and let me know if you'd like to host one!
