Hi, I'm Noelle. I'm a sahpm (that's stay at home pet mom) with a very sweet geeky husband and a whole lot of fiber waiting for me to do something with it. I knit and spin while watching all kinds of movies and whatever's on my Tivo, usually nerdy art stuff, biographies, and Project Runway.

Anything except really antiwoman rap or bad religious soft rock. I'm not kidding about that 'anything' term either. I like country music, classic rawk, 70s punk, 70s funk, 80s alternative, Puccini operas, oldies, jazz, blues, and even old school Grandmaster Flash rap- just not stuff that's mean about women. Lately I've been listening to a lot of what I call the plaintive boy voices - Elliot Smith, Damien Rice, Bright Eyes..I'm always open to hearing something new.

Amelie, Gosford Park (pretty much any Robert Altman), Rushmore (pretty much any Wes Anderson), anything with Katherine Hepburn or Cary Grant, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle (ha threw you didn't I?). I love most movies that aren't action/adventure/Tom Clancy novel-based or involve martial arts or driving cars quickly as a main plot point.

Project Runway, Monk, Psych, House, Weeds, Big Love, My Name is Earl, Will and Grace, Biography. I didn't get local tv channels on my receiver for a long time so I don't really watch tv shows like that unless they're on premium channels or have gone into syndication.

I'm still trying to learn how to do more than a single crochet, have some embroidery kits but haven't played with them, I just bought a sewing machine from an estate sale but haven't learned how to use it. So mostly knitting and spinning. But I'm open to other crafts!
