Yarnaholic-comics-lovin'-robot-obsessed-indie-rock-mom-of-two. That's the condensed version. The long version is that I'm a 32 year old stay at home mom, married to a wonderful man. I love knitting and have many 1/2 finished projects laying about. I'm an avid music fan, and also love to play (the drums, singing and guitar), although with my two little ones it's been challenging trying to find the time. I enjoy comics and have recently gotten back into collecting them after a 10 year hiatus. I find myself increasingly political and frustrated with the ever growing gap between the 'have's' and the 'have not's'. I am passionately feminist and believe that my most important job, right now (and for life), is to raise well my daughters and teach them, not only to believe in themselves, but that the world is a joyful place. I find that traditional japanese tattoos are incrediably beautiful and, currently, am working on a half-sleeve of a japanese dragon.
Travis, Pinback, The Smiths, Afghan Whigs, Twilight Singers, Nina Simone, Songs:Ohia, Andrew Bird, Versus, Nico Case, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Stray Cats, B-52's, old Depeche Mode, Aalliya, Elliott Smith, Shellac, Fugazi, Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Built To Spill, Simon and Garfunkel, Archers of Loaf, Iggy Pop, of Montreal, Dr. Dre, Cat Power, Stephen Malkmus, Duran Duran(old), Pavement, AC/DC, Nick Drake, Hope Sandoval, Fionna Apple, Billie Holiday, Rush, The Replacements, Interpol, Mary Timony, Helium, P.J. Harvey, Radiohead, Blur, The Shins, Neutral Milk Hotel, Velvet Underground, Bowie, wire, Gang of Four, X-Ray Specs, Bad Religion, Beastie Boys, Franz Ferdinand, Devo, +/-, mostly indie rock.
The Age of Innocence, Most Historical Dramas, Sci-Fi, really bad Horror movies, Ghostbusters, King Pin, Movies with Bill Murray, Lost in Translation, I like movies, basically.
I try not to watch too much T.V. I really like The office (American Verision), Lost, and Battlestar Galactica. Deadwood is awesome, and Carnivale was great. Buffy (the Vampire Slayer) is my all time favorite. Mostly, I get these T.V. shows on dvd, so it feels like I'm watching really looooong movies. The Jon Stewart Show is amazing, too.
Knitting...any handicraft! I've recently really have gotten into cooking and baking, out of neccesity, but I find that I really enjoy it.
