I'm 34 years old and live in Portland, Oregon with hubby and 2 dogs. I write a craft column for a local magazine. Arts and crafts have been a huge part of my life since I was in pre-school. I went to art school in Michigan in the early 90's and have been fortunate enough to make a living with art and design.

I'm especially into paper, fabric, beads and buttons, ribbon.

Favorite color: Green , also like blue, purple, pink, orange

Favorite tea: green tea or fruity herbals

Favorite drink: Coffee (of course) and micro-brew beer, Portland has tons of GREAT breweries. I gained 10lbs the first year I was here.

Favorite Candy: black licorice and sour things. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I prefer bitter, sour, or spicy. I'll take french fries over chocolate cake any day.

Dislikes: Vanilla scented things

I love Asian inspired design and I'm really into natural materials. I love receiving hand made items from my partners, especially jewelry and accessories or greeting cards.

I've been a dedicated iPod user since they first came out, I had one of the first units on the market. MP3's have changed the way I think about music. I can now experiment and explore without breaking the bank.

I also subscribe to a few PodCasts: CraftyPod, CraftSanity, CraftCast, and DIY Portland.

I use NetFlix, so I see many movies, of all different kinds. The only thing I don't watch is really old black and white movies, horror, or kung fu films.

Any thing on DIY / HGTV, Law and Order, My Name is Earl, The Office, cooking shows on PBS, news programs, documentaries on PBS

I love to learn new techniques, so I'm always tring something different, especially if it involves paper. Fabric, ribbon, beads and buttons also inspire me.

I also really like to cook and bake. I make GREAT bread.
