About Me

I am a quilter. . I'm married (32 years) have 3 children and two grandsons. The love of my life is my #1 son, Henry, a black lab. I am retired from the post office and I love retirement. I like gardening, quilting, locker hook rug making, and cooking. I like to go to yard sales,flea markets, and shop the thrift stores. The weirdest thing that I collect (I don't even know why) is root beer bottle caps.

Favorite Movies

The only movie that I will watch over and over again is GIANT. It never bores me.

Favorite Television

I really don't watch much television. If I do it is Antique Roadshow on the local PBS channel , or a craft or cooking show.

Favorite Crafts

I am a quilter.. I love fabric and can't seem to control myself in the fabric stores. If I had to say what kind of fabric I don't care for, it would be HOLIDAY type fabric. I do some rug hooking and a tiny bit of crochet and loom knitting. I am always on the lookout for oriental type fabric and ladies pretty hankies.

Pets

Henry my black lab, I love spoiling him and making him doggie treats.

Podcast

I am a avid Pinterest fan and am fascinated by all the creativity out there.

Food

I am addicted to Coffee ..... I seem to have a cup in in my hand at all times

Teasures I hunt for

When I am at a yard sale or thrift shopping there are several things I look for:

vintage fabric,

ladies hankys

old quilts

pottery (bowls, jugs, crocks)

$1.00 paintings that are really worth thousands :)

pre -1960 fisher-price pull toys

madam alexander dolls
