I'm a New Englander on my 4th year in northern CA, trying to pretend I miss winter. I love reading and crafts and the outdoors. I read everything: fiction, children's lit., sci-fi/fantasy, medical narrative, poetry, biography, history, interesting non-fiction on any subject- not necessarily in that order.

I can often be found haunting the library stacks, or in a corner blissfully engrossed in a book. I also like climbing trees, hiking and finding new places to explore outdoors.

I like people too, in spite of my introverted tendencies, and I love hanging out with old friends and making new ones. One of my favorite things about the internet is the opportunity to meet so many great people who share my interests.

I love all kinds of crafts, esp. paper crafts: bookbinding, cardmaking, rubber stamping, I'd love to learn more about paper making and letterpress printing; quilting; I'd like to learn to knit and crochet; I love things with different colors, patterns and textures whether it's paper, fabric, yarn, whatever. I also love pretty small things like beautiful old buttons or glass beads. I love handmade papers.
