I am a writer, a musician, an artist, a photographer, a harpist, a rock-climber, a bicyclist, a collector, and a world traveler. I write short stories and poetry, but at the moment I also have multiple novels that I'm working on. One of these is almost ready for the final draft! People think I'm shy until they ask about my writing. :)
I sing in a choir and I've been playing the Celtic harp since early 2008. I love my instrument!
I love mythology and ancient cultures, archaeology has long been a favorite subject.
In addition to English, I'm almost passable in Spanish (3 years High School) and I'm taking Koine Greek as a minor for my degrees.
I've traveled extensively throughout the USA, went to Australia with People to People in '07 and recently got back from another trip with them to Peru & Chile (July '09). My dream is to explore the world, to experience it, to enjoy it.
My favorite colors are copper (that nice orangeish-brown), earth tones, sunset colors, blues, and elvish greens. (The soft, forest-leaf, greens.)Oh, and all shades of purple!

Favorite Objects:
--blank notebooks --postcards --atcs --tack pins --books --art supplies --words that just sound good --buttons --new pencils and pens --paper scraps and pieces --fabric --patterns for sewing --things that look like artifacts --suprises --teapots
Favorite Animals:
--dolphins --owls --camels --cats --squirrels --falcons --Jellyfish --eagles --lizards
Favorite themes:
--periods of history and cultures(Rennisance, Old west, Mideavel, Aincent Egypt...ect.) --Celtic knotwork --Fantasy --fairys --dragons --Arensbak Trolls --elves --vampires (NOT twilight ones) --Shakespeare --caligraphy and writing in interesting scripts
It depends on the moment, but mostly I like Celtic, folk music, classical, choral, and Gospel. I love Celtic Woman, The High Kings, and Blackmore's Night. Anything played on a harp, flute, or dulcimer makes me smile. Music from the Lawrence Welk show and the early days of radio is awesome... I love things with nice harmonies, with or without accompaniment.
I've grown up on PBS and old shows on dvd, so very few current shows appeal to me. I love cooking shows and documentaries. Sci-fi is one of my favorite genres, especially Star Trek, the original Battlestar Galactica, and Buck Rodgers. The Twilight Zone and other old anthology series are also a favorite. I like things with well-written stories behind them. Westerns make me happy, The Wild Wild West (the show, not the movie) is my absolute favorite because it combines western and scifi. I like mysteries in the vein of Columbo and Murder She Wrote, where the story and the mystery are highlighted and the shock value and gore and sex are practically non-existant.
When I go places where cable is available, I invariably watch either Food Network or Discovery Channel. Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters are awesome!
I craft and make art of any sort that will hold still long enough for me to play with it.
I have an etsy store full of handmade jewelry. I love beadwork, and am quite addicted to beads in general.
I make a ton of ATCs, do other mailart when I can find my desk through the clutter of craft supplies, and experiment with any art or craft I can find. Right now my efforts are more towards journals, drawings, and crochetwork. I doodle and zentangle things, and I draw a sketchy little comic on occasion featuring arensbak-style trolls.
Knitting and Crochet are also favorites, along with hand-sewing and quilting, quilling, beadwork, and painting.
"Lord of the Rings", "Stargate", "Beauty and the beast", most older Disney films, "The cat from outer space", "Willow", Star Wars, "Brave",
