I run enough mileage to dust any mundane event with sparkly endorphins -- that's why I'm usually jovial and upbeat. Health food stores and open-air fresh produce markets are like candy shoppes to me. Running, swimming or some other form of cardio is usually the highlight of my day. I am a 23 year old athlete (aspiring triathlete!) and a vegan. I often daydream about living in artistic eras (art nouveau! Renaissance!) or great music albums (Rubbersoul!) or movies and books, like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Lick-able wallpaper!) or Anne of Green Gables -- wouldn't everyone's life be grand in a book like that? I spend my days surrounded by children and stacks of books at the New York Public Library and my nights at the pool. I am always thinking about and conjuring up whimsical, unlikely, and preposterous interpretations/versions of reality, and my fanciful imagination is constantly being threatened by boring society. Also, I adore almost any variety of tea and was a founding member of my college's Tea Enthusiasts' Association. I am partial to China green tips and jasmine, though.
Favorite animal: capybara.
Favorite food: noodles.
Favorite colors: turquoise and green.
Favorite combination of colors: green with pink and bright orange with blue.
Also, I collect those little evil rubber duckies (the red ones with horns and malicious expressions on their faces) and similar plastic bath toys that squeek.
The Doors, Belle and Sebastian, Traveling Wilburys (boy, would I like to get my hands on Volume 3!), Tom Waits, Beck, Ian and Sylvia, Tom Petty, T-Rex, Garbage, Metallica, Children of Bodom, The Who.
Trees Lounge (almost anything with Steve Buscemi, for that matter). The Jerk. Baraka. Uncle Buck. The Producers. Black Stallion. The 1985 production of Anne of Green Gables with Megan Follows cast as Anne. Breaking Away.
Daily Show, Colbert Report, Simpsons, House.
knitting (limited to cold weather, though), collage-making, mod podge, making jewelry out of scooby and hemp, creating the perfect mix tape/CD for every mood, making creations with shiny bits, sequins, and other razmataz.
