I am a mother of 4, grandmother of 8, Diversional Therapist working with frail aged, socially isolated and disabled people. I live on the Sunshine Coast at Buderim with my surfie husband, 15 year old Maltese, 2 black gold fish and our youngest daughter who comes and goes then comes back again. Reading is my first passion and writing would come a close second. But creating with my hands is also essential to my wellbeing. I have tried every craft out there and settled finally on patchwork, sewing, bag and doll making. I have a longarm quilting machine called Ethel who lives in the front room and my big dining table is covered in fabric and sewing machines. LIKES I love the colours of Autumn, gold, orange, green, rust, cream. I really like the funky, quirky modern fabrics that are around also. I like foundation piecing though struggle with it when I'm tired and my dyslexia kicks in. I also love stitcheries and anything to do with forest creatures especially owls, foxes, rabbits and bears. Okay I really love them all. I would do anything for Caramello koalas and am very fond of Reece peanut butter cups. DISLIKES I don't like sparkly, metalic fabrics Not a big fan of pink or purple in excess. A bit as accent is fine though.
