I live on the coast of Maine and go to school in Vermont. I am studying French, Spanish, and creative writing. I love the ocean, hot sauce, tea, and polaroids.
I knit, sew, bake, and sometimes crochet. I like to experiment. I like paper crafts.
Curb Your Enthusiasm, Veronica Mars, Planet Earth, the Daily Show, LOST
I enjoy anything that's remotely intelligent, or at least entertaining :) Favorites are Bringing Up Baby, Pride and Prejudice, the Last of the Mohicans, the Departed, Hot Fuzz, North By Northwest...
The only stuff I tend to avoid is modern rock/pop punk, because I think it's kind of boring, but if you are making me a mixed CD, I invite you to prove me wrong!
I'm trying to catch up on classics old and new. This means I end up reading Persuasion by Jane Austen one week and Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon the next. I love books, old and new, new and used.
Open ended swap and you're looking to the profile for clues? Ok.
I drink tons of tea, so I really love trying new kinds, and I also collect mugs. My favorites are handmade, but I also like the cheap-os that have funny things written on them.
I'm big into knitting, so I would advise against sending any knit or crocheted hats, scarves or mittens, because I already have so many! However, I love seeing how people get creative with knitting and crocheting, especially little toys and other knick-knacks.
I love boxes and jars. Period.
I believe there is a time and place for any type of jewelry, and I am not allergic to anything.
Food is fine (no allergies here either) as long as it is packaged, but recipes are even better!
I love handmade cards.
I love learning! There are so many things I want to learn about or learn how to do. I'm not sure how to make that into a tangible item, but I guess that's up to you guys :)
My favorite colors are greens, blues, and browns, but I have no least-favorite color, so go crazy!
June 2008: Newbie here and wicked excited. I'll be leaving for my summer job, without much internet or mail access, so I signed up for a couple quick swaps that mail out before I leave.
July and August 2008: Away at my job, alas!
September on out 2008: Back to school, hopefully with enough time for crafting and swaps!
