I’m 45-years-old, beginner's mixed media artist from Massachusetts, USA, a wife and mother of a 24-year-old daughter. My passions include all types of arts and crafts, reading, and photography. I love to read, make handmade things and recently a big fan of handmade cards. I cannot knit or crochet but they are on my bucket list!
Love paranormal romance by authors like JR Ward, Christine Feehan and Jacquelyne Frank. I enjoy murder mysteries and horror, but not really into non-fiction or biographies.
For music, I have always been drawn to heavy metal and what they call alternative rock. I frequently listen to Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch. On the flipped side, I love Latin music, especially Salsa by Victor Manuel, Gilberto Santa Rosa and El Grand Combo. If you do not know who this people are, they are practically legends among the Latin music community.
I also love Adele and Lady Gaga. :)
I have to say I am not big on horror, they always have crappy endings. Action movies and epic movies like Lord of the Rings are really what I prefer. I do enjoy a nice chick flick occasionally as long as I don't need a box of tissues. Is the reason why I avoid Nicholas Sparks movies. LOL! Sad but I really like happy endings. I am way too busy to invest time on a movie that is going to leave me hating it or worst in tears. I watch movies to escape reality!
I love Netflix and Hulu because of my, I really do not get to watch live television (who does!). My top shows right now are: Supernatural, Bones, 2 Broke Girls, The Big Bang Theory, and Lethal Weapon.
My favorite cooking shows are The Chew and Ina Garden. I’m constantly hoping to get enough time to make one of their recipes, but have not been successful. :(
I have a nice small studio set up in my home and I LOVE spending whatever free time I have in it. Here I create art and share it on my blog: http://wonderingmindfieldart.com/ . I dabble in mixed media, Zentangle®, Zenspirations™, and handmade crafts. Pocket Letter and recently cardmaking are some more of my interests.
I am obssessed with watching mixed media and DIY tutorials on YouTube. There are so many talented people out there and so many different things you can learn is one more reason to like the World Wide Web.
Getting to meet other people that share my same interest in arts and crafts is really a fabulous thing.!
I love paper! If I had a bigger studio, boy I would be in trouble. Any type that is colorful and rich in patterns is just fine with me.
Stencils. Any size and those with cool patterns are just the best.
Markers, pens and pencils, OH MY! I do Zentangle and Zenspirations so any type of good flow marker is just music to soul.
Unique notebook/notepads. I am constantly writing notes at work and home!
Bookmarks are also an obsession! I love nice handmade ones that show the creativity and care of the maker. I do like store bought ones as well, specially funny ones.
I LOVE CHOCOLATE and ALMONDS!
Pretty much anything from Tim Burton's movies, such as Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Corpes Bride, Edward Scissorhands and Alice in Wonderland.
My dislikes are just mine! I think these things are cute and fine but are not things I incorporate in my crafts or find much use for.
Character driven stickers, such as Hello Kitty. Nothing wrong with these things I just don't use them. Don't like those school ones either. I don't have little kids so stickers needs to be grown up for me to use them.
Glitter. This thing is just messy and in cards rubs on everything. I rather use embossing powder and heat it up!
Dollar jewel embellishments. The ones you find at the dollar bin and look like fake jewels.
Lace. That lace you find by the bulk or at the dollar stores is just not useful to me at all. Some people are really talented and can do great things with it, but I'm not one of them.
Tea/Coffee. I know!!! How is this possible! caffeine just makes me jittery. The only tea I drink is Tazo Passion Iced Tea and that is because I mix it with Lemonade and taste just like the one from Starbucks.
Find quiet moments to recharge my soul! I can find those moments when I create little bits of arts, while reading a book, or by just sitting with my husband or daughter and enjoy the quiet silence between people who do not need to say much but love to spend time together.
To connect to others who love to create and share without judgement or prejudice is what nourishes my creative soul.

Thanks so much for returning my ATC bag back to me! It's always exciting to get one back. I love your ATCs-- I have several of them now, and they are so colorful and pretty!
