I'm an avid fiber and mixed-media artist who dabbles in just about any creative medium I can get my hands on. I mostly work with fibers for spinning & felting, but also play with mixed media/ensemblage and have been known to work with wire, beads, paint, ink, paper, fabric, clay, buttons, thread, and other odd stuff I find...
I love: ravens, vivd and extreame color combinations, Kaffe Fassett fabric, unusual stickers, altered art, gumball/cracker jack charms, chocolate & sweets, ATCs (artist trading cards), Mail Art, watch/clock gears, skelleton keys, beads, fun & unusual fibers, foreign coins and postage stamps, empherma, interesting & unusual rubber stamps...
If you are making an ATC for me, I ask that you think outside the box. If you would normally use a rubber stamp to create your image or use scrapbook stickers, I beg you to stretch your creativity, get out of your comfort zone and get messy! Smear some paint, draw some squiggly lines, cut up a magazine and make a collage... embrace the unexpected and revel in the creative process. Remember finger painting as a kid or sidewalk art with colored chalk? Find that happy place and make some art! I'll heart you for it!
LOVE indie music & alternative... I also listen to traditional, ethnic, folk, punk, classical, blues, bluegrass, whatever strikes my mood. I have very, very ecclectic tastes!
Hex (BBC), Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, Carnival, Deadwood, The Lost Room, Big Bang Theory, The Tudors, Weeds,
My taste in movies is as ecclectic as my taste in music... it all depends on my mood. I like period films, films based on true stories, indie flicks, foreign films, some sci-fi, comedy and action movies. Not really into gore or horror unless its something starring Bruce Campbell.
