Howdy! I'm American living in Germany. I'm a vegetarian feminist and play the guitar. I REALLY really like cats (: I grew up in Japan. I'm currently studying criminal justice for an undergraduate degree.
I spent the the majority of my life living away from the USA. Living around the world and traveling to so many places has really made me appreciate other cultures and things different than my own. I'm new to this, but have no fear! I have no job which means I have PLENTY of time to mail things. Remember always smile! (:
(although I live in Germany, my postal address is an American one! If you write my address it will still come still come to me, so no worries! If that's confusing, message me. I'll be happy to explain)
I like music that has a lot of acoustic guitar in it. Music that has a folk sound to It makes me happy. I'm also partial to 90s alternative music.
I really like live music. If I can find a stripped down version, acoustic, or live version of a song, I'm a happy camper.
Sublime. Bikini Kill. Pearl Jam. Fiona Apple. Lana Del Rey. Jack Johnson. Ingrid Michaelson. First Aid Kit. The Pretty Reckless. Sylvan Esso. Shakira. The Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Third Eye Blind. Sugar Ray. Von Grey. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Jewel. Bastille. Florence + the Machine. Pearl and the Beard.
Contemporary classics such as The bell jar, the animal farm.
I prefer dramas. Real problems. None of that corny romantic stuff.
I absolutely hated "the fault in our stars". That book is a horrible excuse for literature. It was the most unrealistic, poorly thought out and pretentious book. Just saying!
Ever at a loss of what to talk to me about?
I love quotes. Any and all quotes. Funny, raunchy, corny, sad, inspirational etc. Let me hear them!
I have big curly hair. I love it! Have hair tips or other beauty tips? Let me hear those too!

Hello, and nice to "meet" you on swap-bot! Your user name makes me smile. :) I think we might enjoy some of the same books - REAL stories, no fluff. I didn't dislike The Fault in Our Stars as much as you did, but I didn't love it either. Happy swapping!
And a favorite quote for you: "Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy~ they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." - Marcel Proust
