Response: I use Winkflash so far, I'm pleased with their printing quality though from what i understand they don't have as many options as some of the other sites. I've found some excellent coupon codes online that make printing postcards there really cheap! And thank you for the heart! :)

Comment: Thank you for the postcard Leslie! When I make postcards I just collage with magazines and sometimes stuff i print off the computer. I haven't been able to make one with just glue that will withstand going through the postal service so after I make them I cover it in shipping tape - kinda like laminating it. That's what works best for me! Happy swapping :)

Response: YES eating too many cookies, usually TOO MANY cookies. I still am looking for a really good CHEWY oatmeal cookie recipe and i haven't found one quite to my liking yet. Baking is fun though, even when things don't turn out quite as planned.

Response: I'm so glad you loved the kitschyness! Lulu's is great...they have some local vintage postcards there too, though they tend to be a little pricier than the non local vintage cards. I love postcrossing and swap bot...now that i am so into them i look for vintage postcards wherever i go in Portland! :)

Comment: So, you intrigued me by writing in Dutch. Are you (part) Dutch? Your last name could be from here. But, your art is also very surprising! I like how at first sight I thought it looked a little 'messy' and then you get drawn into it and the mushrooms become....magic ;-)
Response: I hope you can speak Dutch, i just assumed! Yeah, my father is Dutch. Born in Holland, but his parents imigrated when he was 4 or 5...his father worked outside the home and learned English quickly, but his mother, a homemaker, didn't learn English well for several more years so he grew up speaking both Dutch and English. He took us to Holland for a year when i was 8 so i went to school and learned to speak and write Dutch a bit. :) Thanks for the heart!! <3 And thank you for the compliment on my art...i can be a little messy or sloppy sometimes, but i try to tie it all together into something interesting!

I forgot to include in my cards what I did for Halloween -- doh! I enjoyed your letter and your Thanksgiving memories, especially the stuffing recipe shock. I have a similar story in that we ask my mother-in-law the same question about her stuffing and can you believe it? She said shes uses Stouffers too, because the seasoning are so good (smile). Thank you for all the recipes - they sound delicious. I also have a recipe for gingerbread (a hard variety), from my great grandmother, that I could send you. Since my Mom died (9 yrs ago), and our since our family is scattered around the world, we don't get together anymore for this holiday. We get together with local friends sometimes. The teas look good - the "Woman's Raspberry Leaf" sounds interesting. Thank you, thank you; I really enjoyed this swap.

I would LOVE to have a copy of your hard gingerbread recipe, that sounds great! I'm so sorry about your mom, gathering with friends is a great way to be close and thankful for the people in our lives. My parents live in a different town and with my work i seldom get Thanksgiving with them, often i host or attend "Orphan Thanksgiving" with friends for those of us who can't be with family. Anyway, thank you, i really enjoyed sharing with you! :)
