Comment: Thank you Lauren for the book recommendation. I’ll add it to my list. I’ve been saddened lately by the huge, preventable wildfires in CA. So many people and homes at risk, not to mention undoubtedly thousands of animals that perished. Heartbreaking!!!!
Comment: Thanks for the cool PC! I have this one in my blank collection to send and so very happy to get one “written & naked”:) Having been in full hazmat before I can confirm it can be a bit awkward at first, but after awhile it feels normal, the worst part is the restricted field of vision. These days I stick just to a beekeepers suit, much preferred over hazmat lol!
Comment: Thank you for the ugly fairy tale post card. I agree, it was perfect for this swap. I was surprised to see that the puffy sticker stayed on the card all the way from Canada! cute sticker by the way. Happy swapping and have a nice day!
Comment: You get a heart for sending a super crazy pc lol. I agree with you. I cannot believe these smoking gloves were a thing. What a hoot. Happy swapping!
Comment: Wow your grandma sounds awesome ! I used to try to learn every plant, bugs animals and birds real names but it's just too much ahah !
I love dogue de bordeaux, the more chops, the more love (that doesn't makes sense lol)
Say hi to Zeus and Appollo from Lucky and I and thank you so much for everything !
Have a nice day :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard Lauren. Wow I've never been around a blizzard. It lightly snowed one time here for like 10 minutes and everyone here freaked out haha. Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you for this absolutely not ugly postcard - in my opinion 😁 I also have this card in my stash - I plan to send it at Postcrossing for someone interested in astronomy any time.
The prison healer sounds very good! My library has the first part too - the German title translation is like „the shadow healer“. I presaved it for my e-Reader ☺️
Comment: Hi Lauren, I received your postcard today on Friday the 1st of March! Wow, okay, this postcard rocks!!! XD I did actually laugh for this one and it made my evening just taking a quick peek at the front of your postcard as I was picking up the mail (which include two other mail I'm surprised to receive), and seeing the "You ROCK!" message from your postcard actually meant more to me than just the words. Like totally wasn't expecting to get a parcel and another envelope (the parcel might not be from Swap-bot, but who knows), and the mailbox has been quite quiet with just one mail most of the days, so this came to me like an affirmation. The timing of your postcard along with the two surprise mail. Anyway, the postmark details of your postcard says "2023-02-13," "LORETTE POST OFFICE," "LORETTE MB," and "R0A 0Y0." Thank you soooo much for the card and the perfect timing that it arrived with those two other surprise mail. Now looking forward to opening the other two mail. :D ~Kiyasu (UPDATE: Oh wow, the other padded envelope parcel IS actually from Swap-bot. I'm surprised, but so happy I received surprising bigger stuff like that when I was expecting a flat envelope. Both of the two other mail turned out to be from Swap-bot and not a random surprise or kindness mail. Cool. :D)
Comment: Hi Lauren, I received your postcard today on Tuesday the 27th of February. Thanks for sending it, and I almost thought the lemon on the back was a part of the stamp due to how they cancelled that part of the card. Also, for reference your postmark details say "2024-02-05," "LORETTE POST OFFICE," "LORETTE MB," and "R0A 0Y0." February 8th to February 14th were the Lunar New Year holidays here, so maybe that might have affected delivery times. Or maybe your postcard was not affected at all, but still might be good to mention this. :D ~Kiyasu
Response: I’m so glad it came I was getting worried :) I dropped it off in the post box Feb 4 so makes sense for it to have been at the post office near me Feb 5 so must have been delayed by the Lunar New Year!
Comment: Thank you for your list. I like hearing what other people like. The songs are all new to me as I primarily listen to Country and oldies Rock n' Roll.
Comment: Ooh, “Wolf Like Me!” I saw TV on the Radio at Madison Square Garden before Gerard Smith passed away. They played with AIR. Man, that was a long time ago now…
