Description:

This is our 100th swap - woohoo! It's a "Choose Your Own Adventure" swap! Below is a list of 6 of our more popular swaps (those with 15+ participants) and from this list you (the sender) will choose which project you'd like to do. Please note that some of these have been adapted to fit this swap, but otherwise the criteria set out in the original swaps still stand.

Your Options:

  • Supply Chain Optimization - send a nicely filled, DECORATED envelope (minimum size 6"x9") of assorted collage goodies to your partner. Completing Part 2 is not required.

  • Bits and Pieces ATC - use assorted bits and pieces of scraps you have collected to make 2 ATC's for one partner.

  • 2 ATC's 1 Collage Sheet #2 - use images from THIS collage sheet to create 2 ATC's for one partner.

  • Pick an Image Postcard - take to your partner's profile and create a postcard inspired by the imagery that pops in to your head while reading their profile.

  • Mail Art File Folder (EMPTY) - alter/decorate a file folder (on both sides) and mail it EMPTY.

  • No Glue Collage - create a collage (minimum size 5"x5") using alternative attachment methods to hold the pieces together.

As usual, all art completed needs to be original, cut and pasted collage artwork. Additional media/mediums incorporated into the collage, creating a mixed-media piece, are welcome. Do not forget to clearly indicate, on or in a note included with your swap, the swap name and the swap you chose.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! One lucky participant will be chosen at random to receive a stuffed envie of collage supply goodies. Winner will be chosen after the swap deadline passes and will be someone who completes the swap on time and rates their partner timely.

Thanks to all of you who have made this group such a fun and inspiring place to be on the 'Bot! I know I've come a long way since founding the group and hope you all have enjoyed the ride as much as I have.

I have a question. When you say decorate a file folder and mail it, do you mean just half of the folder with the tab on it? If not, you mean decorate all four sides of a regular manilla file folder? how would I keep it from flying open or tearing on its journey? maybe a few staples the receiver could remove? I am very interested in doing this swap. I've dug out an old folder to recycle, just need to get a picture in my head of how it will be sent... PS: Thanks for letting me join your group!!

@Stacy - I had that same question! I clicked on the link in the swap description (this link), and it says that all open sides should be sealed, so it's basically like a big, oversized postcard. =)

bluemonkeymama 04/ 8/2013 #

Yay, 100! Woohoo!

stephiedee 04/ 8/2013 #

@Zuzu 's got it ;) You'll seal the file folder for mailing purposes, then decorate the outside.

For visuals, here's the one I made for this swap when we did it previously: FRONT view & BACK view.

Thanks everybody for your support and participation!

would there be any problem if we just can't decide and end up sending more than one choice to our partner??? I see three good ones that I can so do this week!!

stephiedee 04/13/2013 #

@roaddummy - I don't think anyone would complain if you went above and beyond requirements.
