IF YOU GET MAIL ART FROM ME ON A PACKAGE, CHANCES ARE THE POST OFFICE HAS PUT A LABEL ON IT....PLEASE PEEL IT OFF, THERE IS PROBABLY ART UNDERNEATH.
I PREFER HANDMADE POSTCARDS or ENVELOPES...EVEN IF SWAP CALLS FOR STORE BOUGHT. IF YOU HAVE HANDMADE PC'S OR ENVIES GO AHEAD AND SEND THEM!! YOUR ARTWORK INSPIRES ME!
I am 43 years old. I live in the bottom floor apartment of an old victorian home in Waterville, Maine. It's a small city, about an hour's drive to the ocean. We are a hard-working, proud New England community. People describe me as intelligent and positive. I don't always see myself this way! I see myself as being pragmatic, witty, creative, not technically saavy, tolerant, altruistic, insightful.
update When my landlord was considering selling this house a realtor made a video of my apt. It captures who I am. Once you get to the white kitchen with plastic furniture, it's not my apartment anymore. It's the second floor. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB02fuI-58k
Led Zeppelin. Could listen to them all day and never tire of them. Queen. U2. Classic rock. Rap. Country. I am enchanted by Freddie Mercury- watching him perform the song "Under Pressure". Robert Plant. Modern English (I Melt With You). The Stones. Howlin' Wolf, Van Morrison (Into the Mystic is one of the greatest songs-ever), U2 (I Will Follow and Beautiful Day . Cat Stevens (Miles from Nowhere). "Tangarine" by Zeppelin is my all time favorite song ever. A close second is "Beast of Burden" by the Stones. Love to watch Jagger's facial expressions when he sings it! John Lennon-Instant Karma. Are you guys tired of "We all shine on" on your mail art yet?
FAVORITE BOOKS: The Temple of My Familiar (anything by Alice Walker-she wrote The Color Purple). I've read everything she has written, including her short stories, speeches and essays. Dry by Augusten Burroughs. Carl Hiassen's books. Anything by Tom Robbins. Anything by John Irving.
FAVORITIE TV: Queer As Folk, Girls, Impractical Jokers (those are my "boys"), The Big C. Nurse Jackie. Looking. Family Tree. True Detective. (Basically any series on HBO or Showtime). The best thing about Friday is a new episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher". If it weren't for that show I wouldn't get any news at all. Guilty Pleasures....those creepy alien encounter and ghost shows. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives - that's where i get my inspiration to plan my meals for the week, lard and all. I didn't become 250 pounds by accident, folks.
FAVORITE MOVIES: The Bird Cage. Frida. The Song Remains The Same. Magic Mike. Steal This Movie. Breakfast on Jupiter. Brother Where Art Thou. Swingblade. Jarhead. Get Him To the Greek (who DOESN'T think Russell Brand is dreamy, right? Inside and out.). Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill movies. Django. (anything by Quintan Terantino).
On envelopes coming to me, give a shout out to my mailman VERN! He so enjoys it. His co-workers give him a bunch of crap for it too. He is famous at work. However, when they see me coming, they get a panicked look in their eyes, hoping they don't get me in their line (thanks to swapbot). Vern is the best mail man ever. Always on time. Friendly but not overbearing, you know? He sticks to the protocol. Without protocol it would be chaos.
UPDATE Vern's busted metatarsal has healed! He is back on his route, like nothing ever happened! SO good to SEE you Vern. He's been out ALL Summmmmmer!
MAIL ART. Mixed media. Art Journaling. Making junk journals out of junk mail. Mixed media collage on cavas or a board (whatever I can get my hands on). Altered books.
DECOUPAGE.
Long, meticulous Dislikes Lists. Some folks are soooooo fussy about what is sent to them that I often wonder why they bother swapping at all? Why not take the money and go shop for themselves? Amazon will send them EXACTLY what they ordered-no fuss. No muss!
People that forget to rate me. It's important for me to know that you got my swap. I rate almost as soon as I take a swap out of my mailbox. I also enjoy the luxury of working from home, so that helps.
While co-co puffs aren't my thing, Mail Art IS.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OFFEND ME WITH ANY TYPE OF MAIL ART. THE MORE BIZARRE THE BETTER, I SAY. I am sorry if my mailart has offended anyone....
My religion is karma. I am a very strong believer in it. It is impossible to miss. I treat others the way I'd like to be treated. I send good out into the cosmos and good generally comes back to me. I pray I will hit the Powerball Jackpot but in the meantime I work really hard to earn a living and I take responsibility for my actions. I am succinct. Genuine. Appreciative. Sarcastic. Dramatic. Irreverant. Articulate. Introspective. I find magic in everyday. I utilize a whole assortment of cognitive tools I've acquired over the years to cope with stuff, like asking myself "what's the worse that can happen?", acceptance, living in this very moment-like RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND, saying I'm sorry, using a third-person perspective to examine an issue I am having. That helps when I am being too hard on myself. Recognizing that most of our character defects are fear-based. Fear makes us do ugly things to each other.Letting go. Staying grateful. Little tools I can't live without. What's in your toolbox?
Please don't worry if you don't have big bucks to spend if you get me as a partner. Trust me...I am just happy to recieve something unique. Send something you'd like to receive. No big deal!! Unique images and paper make me happy. Hand paint some paper. Draw a picture! I try to send something I would love to see in my own mailbox.
Sometimes I will send a little something extra to my partner, usually something I've made and it has served it's purpose for me and it needs to be released into the universe. Please don't get upset with me. I'm not doing it to make you feel guilty because I maybe spent more on postage than you did. I genuinely just need to pass these things along. If you don't want them, PLEASE PLACE THEM IN A PUBLIC PLACE FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DISCOVER THEM...a park bench, a table in the library or coffee shop, on a newspaper machine at the trainstation-you get my drift! Or please feel free to pass them on in another swap. Trust me-my feelings won't be hurt.
Under Images on Google Search, type in Traci Bunkers. That's my favorite color. Jewel tones. Reddish-oranges. Warm, deep yellows. Citron yellow which is actually greenish.

I have dropped you from the group Sealed with Love because you haven't logged on or participated in swaps since June 2015. If you decide to come back to Swap-bot and would like to rejoin our group, please let me know!
I see something in your near furture...cant quite make it out.....lol
THANK YOU for thanking me! :) :) A lot of people tell me to butt-out or whatever, haha. Doesn't stop me though. I noticed @mrsludeman because she's hosting swaps, and I ALWAYS check the host's profile...a fre more clicks led me to you. :D I hope you get the swap made up!
FYI - @mrsludeman is back online and hosting swaps. She owes you a swap from fall of last year or so.
You are so welcome, when I read your profile I had to use those things for you! Glad you liked it.
What a lovely surprise envelope--beautifully decorated as one can expect from you!! Love the junk journal RAK and pin up cuties:) Thank you for thinking of me and sharing your wonderful talent!! {{hugs}}
Imagine my surprise when I spied your envie waiting for me in my mailbox. Imagine my delight when I opened the envie and all that glorious ephemera came spilling out! I am going to use that intense block you gave me after I do some searching as to how exactly to use it. I've heard awesome comments about them and have been wanting to try them. Thank you so much for sharing a piece of yours!
Hay gurl! You are a delish bowl of warm milk for sending that kitty licks stamp. Mmmmm. xox
Happy Valentine's Day from First Class Mail Art!
