A rustling of papers in an empty room, the moaning of voices with no body to be seen, rattling chains outside a rain beaten window... Oh dear! Could it be a ghost? Science tells us this sort of thing just isn't possible, and even if it was, why would it be happening to a fine, upstanding lady or gentleman like yourself? Could it b you've done something ghastly? Spurned a lover to suicide? Left an inconvenient child to its untimely end with a negligent "nurse"? Mocked the story of a spirit never laid to proper rest? Oh my, you may have earned this after all. Well there's but one thing to do now, be quick and put ink to paper, write to someone you can trust, confess all and beg their aid. And don't wait too long, lest your story be silenced by the deadly onset of a fatal case of consumption, smallpox or even the dreaded Hysteria! (Well yes, hysteria is hardly fatal, but just try to write a letter while receiving treatment!) You will write to your assigned partner as the victim of a Victorian haunting. Be sure to make it a really good letter. Then reply to the letter you receive as a concerned and helpful friend or loved one. |
