--Bear with me, please. I'm pretty new to hosting... Here goes:---

There is something great about summer for reading and discovering new books. This swap is a way to do that.

In this swap, you'll send your partner one of your favorite books of all time, plus a list of five recommendations of other books you loved.

The book you send can be new or used, but if it's used, please make sure it's not falling apart at the binding or mildewy or yucky. As with all swaps, send something you would love to receive yourself.

To make it easier, use the discussion space below to cite any real dislikes of genres so your partner doesn't send you something you absolutely won't read.

You'll have one partner for this swap. Because of postage considerations, I'm limiting it to US only. I may start an international one if anyone is interested.

Have fun!

i love fantasy and alt-history. i'll give almost anything a try. my partner should feel free to check out my profile - there's a link to my librarything.com account (which catalogs the books i own).

I don't really care for romance or sci-fi---but am open to most other things--you can check my amazon link to see what I like if you care to.

I am pretty open to most things - I read a LOT so although I love mystery type I often have read ALL in the series of them already LOL I tend to start with book one and go through the whole thing :) Regardless - I am open to whatever you wish to send.

What a cool swap. I especially like Christian fiction and cozies (mysteries). Absolutely no erotica or other graphic materials wanted. Also like Love Inspired and Harlequin Intrigue type books.

Am reading lots these days. I seem to be enjoying anything character driven & figure the idea is to be exposed to something new. I think that I am not a fan of scifi or period pieces, but if you think the book is amazing maybe I will to.

I'm not a huge reader, but do enjoy reading a chapter or two of a good book just before going to bed:) I enjoy interesting non-fiction stories, Danielle Steele (have only read a couple of her books, so any would be great), enjoy christian fiction and have read a few harlequin romances, mainly when it's about country folks like horse ranches, rodeo riders, etc. You might say I'm a little picky about the types of books I like, lol. Oh yes....I like real-life non-fiction stories about animals, horses, dogs, farm life, animal rescue, etc. Guess I would have to say these are my favorites since I'm a total animal nut, lol.

I'm not much into romance or religious books... otherwise I'll try anything... though I do prefer things not to be too terribly sexually explicit... some scenes are okay, just so long as the whole book isn't centered on it^~. However, I will agree with Rollerwriter--if you think the book is absolutely amazing, there's a chance I will to, so whatever, really^^

I love this idea!! Ok, I'm not a fan of sci-fi or fantasy, just can't seem to get into them but I love mystery and suspense and lately, for some reason, all the chick-lit books that are popular right now like the shopaholic books. I don't know why but I can't get enough of them.
