Not another dang unicorn atc swap! Why yes it is and it is newbie friendly. I will angel this swap. For this swap you will have 2 partners. Send each partner 1 unicorn atc. You will get, partners after I hit the assign partners button after the sign up deadline. This is a type 3 craft swap and you will get rated for 2 type 3 ratings. So there you go 2, under your belt. You are welcomed. If you are new to atcs or swapbot that is ok. But you need to understand a few rules about atcs and swapbot. ATCS are 2.5 wide and 3.5 long. Portrait direction only for this swap. It is called landscape when you do it 3.5 wide ad 2.5 long. We are not doing landscape atcs. This atc requires straight edges. a rectangle of 2.5 x 3.5. Measure carefully. Atcs are also CARDS and not Papers. SO your backing needs to be sturdy. If it flaps in the wind or you can bend it end to end you need something more on the back. Think of a cut up cereal box, a playing card, a baseball card, or sever layers of cardstock. No bending allowed. We have covered the Card part of ATC, let cover the Artist part. Sticker slapping is a big no no in the atc world. But sticker slapping is more than just slapping a sticker. Gluing down an image is very much like sticker slapping. For Mixed media card, You need to use some ink, some rubber stamps, some fiber or ribbon or paint, or modeling paste or embellishments. add a word. Add some layers, some texture. Got it? make it artsy. Having said all that, if you are hand drawing or zentangling, I don't see the need to add other elements. You will have 2 partners so you can see how two different artists created with the same unicorn theme. This must be your own work, and it must not be a reprint of your own work. Ok we covered the C for cards, the A for artists now lets cover the T for trading. Mail on time, protect your cards in either a plastic sleeve or an envelope or card. Put enough postage on the card. Bumpy cards cost a whole 21 cents extra to get hand canceled. Write your contact info on the back of the card so when we look back a year later we can read and not remember who the artist was. Swapbot name, real name, whatever else. Some artists write the year, the swap site, the techniques used. Thank your partner by rating them when your atc arrives. Contact me the coordinator if you have any issues. THIS ONE IS USA ONLY. There you go we covered most if it, atc wise. |
