Zakka :This type of crafting originates in Japan. It is the crafting/recrafting of useful things. Although these items should be useful, what makes it so truly Japanese is the art and beauty with which it is made. It is also the cultural norm that all items have a place, be it a box, shelf, nook or bag. Always wanted to do those pretty Japanese Crafts but they looked too complicated? Learn now! Please don't let this project intimidate you:D If you can sew a straight line you can do this project! We are all going to use the same basic pattern, it is up to you to make it special for your partner! After sign ups I will email each of you a copy of my pattern and instructions. See my blog for pictures of this and future projects. To encourage beginners to Japanese handcrafts, Newbies are welcome to join (I will angel if necessarily), but no 1's in the last 6 months. PM me if you need an exception. This will be an International swap as this bag is very small. |
