Description:

My Dear friends,

My card party is but a fond memory now, but let us revive the fun we had that evening by continuing in the making of our own deck of cards. There is nothing so enjoyable as a spirited game of cards, no matter the game.

This shall be a progressive swap in which we make seven cards at a time, we shall all be making the same cards, so there is no confusion about who has received what. We will continue with the suit of diamonds and craft the seven, eight, nine, ten, Jack, Queen and King of diamonds. The face of the card should depict the number or Royalty on the card and the suit, but the back of the card may be decorated as you like. To keep the cost of postage down, these cards should not be heavily embellished, nor should there be any protruding pieces over the edges so they may be stored easily. You may make the backs of all seven of your cards the same, or you may choose to be creative and assign a different design to each of them. The choice is the sender’s in this swap. Use your imagination, add a little whimsy by making the royalty prominent people of our time or use those lovely fashion plates for your images.

To give the fine details, we will be making seven playing cards which are the size of an ATC which is 3 ½ x 2 ½ inches or 9 x 6 cm, we shall be making the Seven of Diamonds through the King of Diamonds for this round. The back of the card is sender’s choice in design, the front should give a clear depiction of the suit and number/royalty of the card.

Let’s have fun with this swap. If there are any queries, please do ask, we are all happy to assist.

With kind regards, Lady Elizabeth

I'm going to sit this round out, unfortunately. I've got a lot on with dad and hospital appointments in the run up to him starting radiotherapy in January. I'll make these cards for myself when I get time, so I'll still have a full set. Sorry! Xx

@Minxy1964 so sorry to hear about your Dad, how stressful for you both! Please don’t apologize for passing on a swap, we all need breaks occasionally and can’t do it all (as much as we’d like to)! We can always match up people later who need a “fill-in” swap to complete their decks. ❤️
