Description:

This is USA only due to postage costs--I just can't afford to send a book out of the country--feel free to copy the swap for an International one if you like!

The Swap: "Neighborhood": is anywhere you go regularly and can take photos.

Photos: take photos of buildings, animals, man-made things and nature. No personal people pics of you or family members , or strangers for that matter ;)

The Journal: a 50 page composition book with lines, one picture attached on every other page on the upper right corner, with a brief caption--description, place name, a little history, no more than a few lines in small print-- leaving room for your partner to use the pages for journaling. (see swap pic above for example) Choose your pictures to make a theme if you like, or to word prompt for the journaling, but put in the best you take during the time of the swap. You can glue them in, or use photo corners or photo adhesive stickers. Decorate the margins of the pages if you like for extra WOW. You are showing off your art, so do a good job, make it a journal your partner will want to fill!

Alter the cover, inside and out, front and back to make it meaningfully beautiful: paint, collage, whatever you like, even one or more of your photos and a title page on the first page in the journal with a picture.

The photo taking should start on sign up day, taking at least three pics per week until a couple of weeks before the mailing date to have plenty of time to choose and use the best pics--you'll need about 22-26.

You should refer to your partner's profile for ideas top make the journal special, something they will be inspired to use daily.

Newbie swappers who are experienced journalers/photographers can join with a full profile and a message to me with info about previous experience.

Rated Swappers must have 4.8+ ratings on non-e-mail swaps, ans no recent no-sends or 3s without explanations.

Any questions, please PM me.

I would be interested in joining, but find the format parameters for the book too rigid.

Anyone is more than free to create their own swaps, if this format is not to a person's liking, then what can I say? Have your own fun, your own way and enjoy whatever you do!

Partners are assigned, so LET'S Swap!
