Description:

Okay, so I'm a huge turtle and tortoise geek! I have several desert tortoises that live in my backyard - they are over 50 years old. I also have a number of aquatic turtles in my pond.

You don't have to have your own living breathing turtle to participate in this swap - you just have to like the little guys!

For this swap, you will have one partner. You will make something turtle related - a softie, amigurumi, a mini quilt, a handbag, polymer clay, stained glass, jewelry - the sky is the limit, as long as it is turtle related. Make sure it is something you would like to receive yourself!

You must have a rating of 4.6 or better, and no recent "no sends". Newbies are more than welcome - make sure you have a completed profile.

This will be an international swap - everyone welcome!

So we could make it into a picture or an ornament then right? If so and I get my finger out, I can probably get it done in time, but I want to check first before I get the finishing materials on Tuesday.

I think I might join! I have two red ear sliders, a chinese box turtle, and a leopard tortoise!

I'll be using Fimo clay, I think! It won't be amazing - it'll be the second time using clay, so don't expect a masterpeice, lol!

I'm excited about this!

Right now, I just have several desert tortoises, but in the past, I've fostered lots of box turtles and aquatic turtles for a reptile rescue.

I'll create a flickr group too, so we can show off photos of our turtley goodness. It'd be cool for those of us who have turtles to post photos of them there too!
