IITC: Double Trouble #1 🌎🪙♦️

While learning more about the history of tarot cards as a card game and standards from different countries, I thought it might be fun to start introducing tarot cards to the group along with correspondences. This swap will also use French suited playing cards (the kind you can buy at any store and play poker with). We'll be using diamonds for the first go-around.

And so, we start where many do: the element of earth. Coin, material gain, vocation. There's more, but if you want that explained in detail, you're gonna have to give me what diamonds represent -- and it ain't love and marriage (kidding). It's money. In tarot, that's usually depicted as the suit of pentacles, though decks will vary. It will always be the suit that corresponds with earth.

You will be sending your partner 6 cards total. Please vary decks if you can, but not required. Storebought only.

Send one of each of the following:

• ace of diamonds
• 4 of diamonds
• jack of diamonds
• ace of pentacles
• 4 of pentacles
• page/knave of pentacles

I will keep posting with regularity if people join and get us through the entire French suit. That will get us 52 cards. I will also host an additional round for the knight tarot card, which is not corresponded to a standard playing card deck.
