I think everyone enjoyed the first favorite color quilt block swap for newbies and some now oldies that I wanted to host it again and make it an every other month swap. As before, or if you are just joining us for the first time, you will handcraft a 10.5X10.5" quilt block from your partners list of favorite colors. Senders have choice of pattern for the block, but please do something other than an easy nine patch etc, to make it fun. You can combine as many of their favorite colors as you like. The finished quilted block will measure 10X10 when sewn into the quilt. Please leave it without batting and backing so tht when we have had 12 swaps, we will have enough blocks to put into a full quilt and batting and backing will be put on at that time. You will have one (1) partner so let's make this a fun swap. Let's also do our best to make a quality block, there's nothing worse than getting something that no thought was put in to. Please email with any questions you might have and save the space below for listing your desired colors or make sure to have them listed in your profile. Please use quality cotton fabric. If you smoke, please make every effort to send a block that has not been exposed to smoke. If you can't avoid that, perhaps send a quick note to your partner and ask if it is offensive or launder the block and put a fabric softener sheet into the package to help erase any sign of smoke smell. Please have a complete profile so that your partner can choose colors that suit your taste, home furnishings, likes and dislikes etc. Thanks and let's have a fabulous swap again! |
