I am a WAHM of a one-year-old girl and a dressmaking business. I have been sewing since age 12 on my mother's old treadle and made my first wearable (highly subjective, of course!) outfit at age 13. Sewing is my first passion but I enjoy crafting of all sorts. Although I make garments mostly, I would like to try my hand at quilting and other fabric arts, like dollmaking, etc.
I really look forward to meeting lots of swapsters :D

On any given day, I am probably listening to internet radio, most likely to a channel playing the big hits from the 80's :P
I do like Coldplay, James Morrison, Rascal Flatts, and mostly anything pop-rock.
Where do I begin? My reading taste is eclectic. Of the popular stuff, I've been devouring Dean Koontz and Jeffrey Archer. Chic lit from Marian Keynes, Sophie Kinsella. 'Serious' lit from Hanif Kureshi, Martin Amis, Doris Lessing, Rohinton Mistry.
My all time favourite book though, is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
Favourite non-fiction: 1421-The Year China Discovered America by Gavin Menzies
Er...everything Star Wars :D
'Whose Line Is It Anyway?'
Just amazed by their quick wit and humour!
Garment construction, of course :)
But I also really enjoy paper crafts, making felt toys, modelling with paper/polymer clay, woodworking, knitting, glass painting... the thing is, if it can be made by hand, I'd probably like it!
