How about an ATC swap where you try something different. I have collected scads of ideas as well as come up with some of my own to make ATC’s. I will post a technique, and you get to try something new (or old depending on your experience) and share your results. I am hoping to do this monthly if it is popular. What is an ATC? http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html An ATC is an artist trading card. The only rule is the size, 2.5x3.5 inchesYou can trade them but not sell them. Don’t forget to put your information and sign them on the back! July ATC Technique - Easy “Caught in Crystal Technique This is a variation for the lazy people, namely me. Rather than doing one image at a time, I do a bunch. Materials A large, kinda open rubber stamp design. I like using ones of butterflies or dragonflies, flowers would work too, but it can’t be too opaque, It needs to have open areas Staz on ink (or other solvent ink) black A sheet of acetate – use transparencies, clear box tops, clear plastic packaging, Future floor polish White tissue paper Reinkers - whatever colors to enhance your rubber stamp. Stamp your rubber stamp design in Staz on ink on your acetate, leave room between you’ll be cutting these out or you can use the whole 2.5x3.5 size around each stamp. Turn the acetate over, you’ll be working on the non stamped side. Feel free to experiment and substitute different materials, Post about your difficulties and successes, your experiments and your ideas. This is a starting place. Have fun. This is a technique swap so you can pick your own subject. You will have 3 partners and send 1 ATC to each. This is international. I check ratings and profiles and will use both to influence who can play. Newbies welcome, people new to ATC’s welcome too. |
