Description:

I am not sure how many people besides me make glass beads, but I figured this is the best place to look for crafty people!

For this swap, you will have one partner and send them 10 handmade glass beads that you have made! (not store bought please). All 10 can be different for some could be the same, but a variety is nice since everyone has different tastes. You do not need to be an expert beadmaker to participate. Just do your best and we will all get beautiful beads!

Newbies or anyone with a 4.7 rating or below please send me a message so I know I can trust you :-)

International welcome!

I have a kiln for enameling, but I have no idea how to do this. I wish I did, tho. Hope you find more people, but even one or two will be fun.

I got a kit from Hobby Lobby (I took a class once before too). The kit was $60 ($100 with a 40% off coupon). It has everything except the MAPP gas, which burns hotter than other gasses, and the safety glasses, like welding glasses. A great way to get started!

I am excited too - I got a kit for Mother's Day and have had fun fooling around with it.

hey! i made my first few beads on saturday! it was fun and not as scary as i thought it would be. i'm a chicken when it comes to a flame but i just followed the instructions and all and cool! i would have rather had a real person show me the ropes but i will learn. now i am looking forward to a real class from an instructor later on down the road.

I got my kiln going this afternoon and annealed my first batch of beads. I will be sending some off soon. I am really enjoying making them. Thank you so much for making the swap Kelly. It pushed to get started. Thank You!
