Description:

Hi fellow geeks! You are to superhero yourself for this swap! Make sure it has ATC/skinny type strength, but it doesn't have to be of that specified size. In fact, if you want to make a paper doll of yourself with regular clothes and a costume, that's fine too! We all have different artistic strengths. It does not have to be true to life. You may draw, paint, photoshop, paper cutout doll yourself as a superhero, but make yourself a superhero and make the art durable.

Also, you must include a short letter which lists your strengths, weaknesses, and arch nemesis-es (maybe nemesi?)

More will come like this.

I have these planned so far, but am welcome to suggestions or other people wanting to host similar swaps:

smurf yourself

care bear yourself

video game yourself (may divide this up into types of video games, not sure yet)

Care Bear yourself? Holy Moses, I'm in! And I definitely think you should divide up the video game ones. :)

i was in Target yesterday, and they are now selling Rainbow Bright toys and dolls again... which makes me feel really old, because i was too old to play with them the first time around, LOL! this is a really cool idea... but really, was it necessary to tell me to go "smurf yourself?" how unsmurfy of you! ;-) heehee!

I love this! Ahhh, I'm so excited for this series of swaps. Right up my alley.

@graymojocat - Our superhero selves can team up and banish the crime (or perhaps the sorositutes) out of Athens! Booya! Also, I'm excited to see you as an officer in this group. Yay neighbors!

Oh-my-good-golly-gumdrops, I love this. I've always wanted to be a superhero. :)

I might divide up the video game ones. We'll have to see. That'd be SO amusing!

And actually I DID super hero myself on a drive back from my daughter's college. Only I didn't keep it!!! I must recall the details... And now... I fly away!

I have a question, just to make sure I'm okay... Can I draw my superhero on an ATC and keeping this format? Or it has to be a paperdoll with clothes etc..? Thank you !

wunderland 03/17/2010 #

I think that any paper craft is fine @MissPickle. I'm pretty sure that @graymojocat suggested a paper doll as a fun example of an avenue you could go down.

I was thinking about a sock doll but decided against it (I can craft an animal but pretty sure I will just be upset with a chubby sock me super hero! :) Anyway, that's an idea if any of you are interested.
