This is the second round of a two swap series. Greative Juices get ready to flow! MODERN = for this swap the term "modern" means as in modern prints like abstract, and unusual, and can also include quality quilting shop fabric, and Joann's fabric, but not limited to any of these options Here is an opportunity to create a mini art quilt using those great modern prints you've been collecting, as well as interesting found objects. Think of using things you might have like that single earring, pieces of chain, buttons, beads, small mirrors, plastic toy car wheels, fishing lures, metal parts from that old broken calculator, plastic covered wire from a broken electronic toy. Use your imagination! Pick a theme for your Modern Mini Art Quilt, gather all the things you can find that fit that theme or can be used in it and get to creating! (suggestions: create your own fabric robot, a new animal species, or an exotic new flower) --One partner to receive: --One Modern Mini Art Quilt (use 6"X6" to 15"X15" as your size guide and it doesn't have to be square) You should use at least 5 different found objects in your quilt and at least one modern print fabirc. Your quilt top will be finished off with batting, backing and a label stating at least your name, city/state or country. Name your quilt and add it to the label. Be sure to explain the idea for your quilt on the note you send to your partner, and maybe even explain what inspired you. Sometimes the story that goes with the quilt adds to its attraction. Newbies welcome with filled out profile, at least 3 snail mail swaps completed, and a 5 rating. Seasond swappers must have a 4.8 rating and no 1's for the last 6 months. |
