Hello everyone, I have volunteered take over this swap for @ksj1717 as she is the swap host for the Round Robin Journal Swap #1 and partaking in both swaps would prove to be very expensive and labor intensive! You can view the first Round Robin here: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/70820
PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE SIGNING UP AND COMMITTING TO THIS SWAP!!! Due to the overwhelming response to the first Round Robin Journal Swap, I have decided to have one more. I have set a limit of 10 participants.( If there are already 10, you will only be considered if I have to drop someone with a poor reputation of completing swaps). Since this swap was started to accomodate those who were unable to get in the first swap, I will not allow participants to be in both swaps. We will use journals smaller than 8 x 10 inches. My journal actually is 7.5 x 10...so anything that falls at 8 x 10 and smaller is acceptable. We will each complete at least 2 pages in each partner's journal. The journals should have between 20 and 40 pages. Please use something lightweight so postage doesn't go too high for this international swap. Put your name and address on the back pages somewhere, either on the back cover or inside back cover. In this way, if there are any emergencies with a participant, you may at least get your journal back from a point. Please provide art in any style you choose and any theme to each journal as you please, but be tasteful. You may decorate 2-4 pages depending on the number of pages (divide by 10). You may also decorate the cover and/or first two pages of your own journal if you'd like. Remember that participants want to see a variety of art, so don't try to emulate his/her style. Keep your art your own. :) You will always be sending to the same person and you will have 2 weeks to complete each journal. This is an international swap, so be prepared to pay for postage as this might tend to get pricey when shipping out of country. Each time you receive a journal, fill in your 2-4 pages and send on to your partner. This will happen TEN times. You will be rating only the person sending to you, but you will be working in 10 different journals. You are rating the fulfillment of the requirements of the swap. Everyone should do his/her best work. If you feel your partner has not given a high-quality attempt at his/her art, or if your partner does not mail out the journals in a timely manner, please feel free to rate poorly. Two weeks for each journal should be sufficient time to complete two pages. This swap is not for newbies. I have participated in one journal swap previously. I really enjoyed the experience, but I never got my journal back. I do not want this to happen to anyone else. If you can not be completely committed to finishing this project, please do not sign up. I am looking for members with a 4.9 or better. If you do not have this rating, please PM me with details and I will make a consideration as to whether or not you will be allowed to participate. I can not angel flakers. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them. Have fun and enjoy creating! JOURNAL SCHEDULE: Soon as the swap partners are assigned, everyone will have the name and address of the person they will be sending the ten journals to throughout the swap. Here is the swap schedule: Due date to mail 1st journal (your own) September 24, 2010 Due date to mail 2nd journal October 8, 2010 Due date to mail 3rd journal October 22, 2010 Due date to mail 4th journal November 5, 2010 Due date to mail 5th journal November 19, 2010 Due date to mail 6th journal December 3, 2010 Due date to mail 7th journal December 17, 2010 Due date to mail 8th journal December 31, 2010 Due date to mail 9th journal January 14, 2011 Due date to mail 10th journal January 28, 2011 Final date for all journal work February 11, 2011 You've got a head start to get your journal ready to go out. Then, once you receive a journal, you should start working on it right away. Then, you shoud have two weeks to get two pages done in that journal. You then mail it out to the same partner you mailed your own out to. Then, you will receive another journal with work already done in it. Either on or before the two week time frame, you will have it completed and mailed out. If, for some reason, you are going to be delayed in sending any of the journals, please let me and your partner know. If you have an emergency that will delay your work for more than one extra week, please let me and your partner know and we will decide if we need to skip you in the next rotation. PLEASE NOTE, IMPORTANT!!!! PLEASE DO THIS!!! If you want your complete journal to stay with one theme, for example you want a 'wedding' art journal, or a 'fairies' art journal ON THE INSIDE FRONT COVER, PLEASE WRITE: THEME: _____ AND WHATEVER THEME YOU WISH TO HAVE. However, if you are not concerned with themes and are happy letting fellow swapers do whatever work they choose on their own, please write FREE THEME on the inside front cover of your journal. And swappers PLEASE as soon as you receive each journal, MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE INSIDE FRONT COVER to see what that person wishes to have inside their journal!! please please make sure you do this, as we are all going to be working hard and swappers deserve to have this wish taken into consideration! Now, get that journal out and start having fun!! |
