EDIT: The snailmail version is located here: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/76648?new=1

This is the Swap-Bot version based on the website "Write Here, Write Now." (http://oneword.com) I'd like to do a bunch of these if enough people are interested in this. I'd also like to do some snail mail ones, too! I'm not sure if someone else is doing something similar to this, but I haven't seen anything like it, so I'm going to go ahead and host.

Here's how it works: You will write any form of prose and send it to two (2) people in one (1) e-mail. Ideally, you should write without first thinking about what you will write. It should be spur of the moment. Whatever first pops into your head, just run with it! It should be a lot of fun, and possibly help you to just write.

You should put effort into what you send. It doesn't really matter what you write about, as long as you write a minimum of two average-length paragraphs. (If you decide to do poetry, use your judgment with length). But! By all means, please don't stop at the minimum! The longer the better. :)

The topic word is: IGNITE
You can interpret and incorporate the word into your writing any way you would like. You don't have to include the word. You can imply, use a synonym, etc..just get your point across.

A 5 RATING SHOULD BE GIVEN FOR RECEIVING AT LEAST SOMETHING, UNLESS IT IS OBVIOUS THEY JUST WROTE A SENTENCE OR TWO AND DIDN'T TRY. In this swap,

It's not necessarily about the content. Be nice and give some feedback as well! Please e-mail or message me with any questions/concerns!

Rated users 4.5 with no recent 1's or 3's can join. Newbies welcome with a nicely filled out profile. I will be checking profiles, and anyone suspicious will be banned. Message me with any concerns. This should be an easy swap. Don't be lame and flake! You can even do this in advance and save it as a draft in your e-mail.

Please be courteous and remember to rate your partners when you get your swap!

For anyone interested: I was considering making this swap one where you receive the topic in an e-mail after the sign up deadline, but I'd like to know what other people think of this idea.

The less complicated the better -- to give the word in the swap may make it less spontaneous but having had time to give thought to a prompt is not a bad thing. I'd say, go with it the way it is.

I prefer snail mail as I'd rather receive a letter and I've found with email swaps people more often forget about rating and sometimes the swaps wind up in someone's spam.

I might do this if it's snail mail.

i'm happy to do this electronically, but would also like to put in my vote for a snail mail version later. it's just more fun to get something in the post than in my e-inbox. :-)

A snail mail version would be great!

Awesome! I'll make another version for the post, then!
