QnT End-of-Year Clearout

Here is an opportunity to make room for next years “new sewing items” and to share those sewing items you’ve accumulated this year that just did not find their way into one of your projects. You should send items from at least 4 different categories listed below, but you may make this package as big as you want.

I have a couple of clear glass jars that I keep these kinds of things in just waiting for inspiration to hit me! I also like to gather these items from other swappers as inspirations for new mini art quilts, Heartstring quilt blocks, or for crazy quilt blocks!

--6 misc. buttons (at least 6, any size shape or color, all the same or all different, holiday or otherwise)

--3 pieces of ribbon, lace, rick rack, or trim (at least one foot minimum lengths each piece, neat, clean and not raveled)

--fat quarter of 100% cotton fabric (maybe a duplicate one you didn’t need, or the wrong color for your project)

--2 fat eights of 100% cotton fabric

--6 five inch 100% cotton charms (5”X5” cut of fabric, not the paper thin ones someone sent you that you should just throw away)

--2 ten inch charms of 100% cotton fabric (10”X10” cut of fabric)

--one 100% cotton print fabric panel (left over from those pillows you made, or the curtains or that cute little dress)

--3 (or more) scraps of velvet, satin, brocade or other fancy fabrics great for use in crazy quilt blocks (try not to send scraps smaller than 5”)

--1 sewing pattern: quilting, home deco, clothing, children’s clothes, toys, crafts,….check profiles before sending for best results (maybe you used it once and won’t again…send all the pieces in good re-useable condition in the envelope it came in)

--small zippy bag of embellishments: beads, jewelry charms, decals, new-unused embroidery floss…etc.

--an item you thought of that I didn’t!

The swap-bot golden rule: Always send good quality items you would want to receive.

Sounds like a fun box to put together and to receive.
