Weekly Newbie Swap I'm taking over this swap for Mommy's Crafting, who was wonderful enough to hand me the reins, so I will be providing future weekly newbie swaps. However the rules and ideas behind the swap are the same as always! Welcome!! This weekly swap is set up to help serious newbies get ratings quickly, without skimping on a quality swap. The key word here is QUALITY. This will be an International swap since you can easily customize a light weight package. This swap will be open to ALL new swappers WITH a filled out profile. This is very important! I have to be a bit tougher on this one… after feedback from some swappers I find it essential that you have a good profile. Be sure to read the links below about creating a good profile. I will no longer be able to contact you if I feel you need to add more to your profile before the start of the swap. Reminding folks to fill out their profile is taking too much of my time. Fill out your profile & then sign up for this swap. Follow all the directions in the description or you will not be able to participate in this swap. Other swappers are also welcome to join, I will be checking profiles though. I reserve the right to ban anyone with a poor swapping history. What will we be swapping? Anything you want. Let’s send our partners our best. Once partners are assigned you will have the weekend to create something wonderful for them. You will need to go check out their profiles and choose items you think they will love. Now this swap doesn’t have to cost much, just your time. Some folks have requested a monetary value, I’d say minimum would be $10. Please do see my examples below & check out the photos on the flickr group above for some ideas of great swaps. Do you knit or crochet? Maybe you could send a dish cloth, a recipe and a lovely homemade card. After reading your partner’s profile did you feel like you have a lot in common? Send them a lengthy pen-pal letter along with some homemade tags. What about a hobby or favorite craft? You could send a journal & pretty pen to a writer. Or some nice yarn for a knitter. These are just ideas, get creative and send your partner something you’d like to receive. Something you’re proud of.
