Kirigami, or the art of paper cutting, is my new favorite hobby. Won't you join me in creating some beautiful, ephemeral, two-dimensional things? Make five kirigami flowers and/or snowflakes for one partner. It is easy to use origami paper to make these items. Instructions are available at the links below, and you can find more ways to do it if you poke around the interwebs: kirigami flower kirigami snowflake If you can find it at your local library, this book, Paper Cut-Out Design Book by Ramona Jablonski is a great resource for kirigami and other paper-cutting projects. When your kirigamis are unfolded they will be larger than the average envelope, so it is ok to send them folded in half. They are very delicate, so send them with a stiff piece of paper backing. So, to repeat, make five kirigami flowers and/or snowflakes for five partners. Any questions, please post them below or PM me. Thanks & happy swapping. |
