For this swap, you will make one standard size ATC (2.5 x 3.5 inches) for your partner.
- Write a haiku! This is a poem consisting of three lines and is usually written with a seasonal theme. The first line has five syllables the second has seven, and the third line of the poem has five again. Your haiku will go on the back of your completed ATC. Because you also need to include your name and the name of the swap on the back of the card, I highly recommend typing your poem out and then pasted it on so it can be small AND readable. If you can write neatly and small enough, you're quite welcome to write the poem on there.
- For more information on writing a haiku, please see this website but also be aware that perfection isn’t necessary. It’s okay if you’ve never written a haiku before – give it a try!
- The card will be hand drawn and/or painted and the subject matter will be based upon the haiku you write. The picture goes on the front of the ATC and the haiku it's based on will be on the back of the card. There should not be any words on the front of your card.
- Please use a paper that is a little bit nicer than plain copy paper and, if the paper is not very heavy, please mount it on a firm backing.
- The ATC may be done in any sort of drawing or painting medium you wish. Please make sure to use a fixative spray if your medium can be easily smudged.
- Finally, please put some time and effort into your work! Make something beautiful that you have a hard time parting with.
Please have a rating of 4.8 or higher. Send me a message if you are new to swap-bot or if you have any recent 1s or 3s before joining the swap.
I will remove anyone from the swap that does not meet the above requirements before partners are assigned.
Please feel free to send a PM with questions or concerns. I don't check the swap page daily so sending me a message is the best way to get a quick answer from me.
Have a wonderful day!
