I'm the baby in a family where my parents were in their 40s when they had me, so I grew up listening to Big Band, Polka and early 70's rock. Still enjoy it. Love Indigo Girls, blues, Tom Waits, alternative, They Might Be Giants, baroque, trance and Andrew Lloyd Weber musicals. Yep. And then there's what's on my iPod...

The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Watership Down. A Prayer for Owen Meaney. Como Agua para Chocolate. The Bible. The Sleeping Beauty trilogy. Shared Courage. The Red Tent. The Secret Life of Bees. The Posionwood Bible. (Basically, if it has courage, camaraderie and homecoming, I'll probably enjoy it!)

Collage. Assemblage. Or, as my friend Alisa puts it, "gluing stuff to other stuff." Making unique purses out of books, boxes or cards. Touch drawing. Altered anything, especially mirrors and picture frames. Adding shiny stuff to pretty stuff. Then there are all the things I want to try, but haven't yet -- encaustic, origami, inchies, papermaking, oil paints.

I am honest, outgoing, spontaneous, llena de chispas, self aware and am frequently reminded by my friends that they keep me around for Entertainment Value. grin I have a childlike appreciation for acts of God, triumphs of nature and general silliness. I love to laugh and have been blessed with incredible friendships.
